I totally do have it headcanon'd though that my mage Trevelyan and Bull have pretty much taken on the role of looking after Cole. x3 Because it's just too darn sweet.

I've noticed a whole lotta Bull hate lately, not just about his potential relationship with Dorian... buuut about pretty much everything he is and does. It seems like Bull can't do anything to please people nowadays, which is funny 'cause he certainly tries oh hon hon~

So I gotta offset the hate with an OVERABUNDANCE of love. And lots of gifs of Bull talking about watchwords and how he'd never hurt you without your permission and chillin' with the Chargers and being the best Cool Uncle™ to Cole and just... being his great self.

Question.  In Iron Bull's romance scenes he suddenly has tattoos everywhere. Is that vitaar or what? Is it explained?  I haven't watched the scenes in full yet.

Nah, I think they're just legitimate tattoos, not vitaar.

Honestly it seems like some wierdness in the game involving his tattoos. Some armor I have him in he has it visible, some not. Whenever he's shirtless in a cut scene he has it. I've been wondering wtf is going on with it myself.

His default look has no tattoos visible anywhere and yet they are all over both arms and chest in his romance scenes.  This isn't explained at all? 

 

That's freakin' weird.  I could see if they were Vitaar and he painted them on and removed them whenever he wanted, but that would only make it more unbelievable since he'd be slathering on a substance that is toxic to all other races before having sex with potentially a human, elf, or dwarf.

Not even a word about it. They do look more like regular tattoos than they look like vitaar though, especially when it shows up on his armor models later in game.

 

 

Because all of his armor since has consistantly had the same tattoos, I really think that his beginning armor, and therefore what he shows up with for most cut scenes, is just missing this rather important detail. :|

He has no tattoos in his default armor or his Skyhold appearance. You would think that they would be visible in those instances. Strange.

Maybe it's once you start humping him he decides to get the tattoos or something. >.> But he's fully romanced for me, and still no tattoos when he's in skyhold, but the minute I get him outside in his armor, BAM tattoos.

 

Maybe they only show up if he wants to feel intimidating or extra sexy, like how octopus attract their mates and scare away predators! ... ...
