I had a conversation with a friend last night about the piledriver position, and whether or not Thedas as a whole would have a name for it. Also whether or not it would be possible to hold that position under duress for any real period of time without being tied into it.

 

In hindsight, I wonder what type of monster Iron Bull fanfiction is going to turn me into. OHWELL.

Part of me wants to write a threesome with Lavellan/Dorian/Bull bad, but the other part thinks that Bull would probably not be very willing to share deeper into their relationship either. There may be no correlation or causation here, but I remember when I started the romance with Bull.

 

I asked him "If I wanted, could you be something else?" *talking about roleplaying* and he said 

 

"No, that's not how this works." And goes on to describe how he's giving the inquisitor what she needs in the bedroom. 

 

So, I don't think he would want to share, because he has a firm sense of how things are supposed to work in this relationship?

The fact that Bull doesn't want to share shocked me but in a good way especially after romancing Isabela in DA2. Regardless I'm just waiting on that threesome fanfic. Personally I want a Iron Bull/Cassandra/Qunari Inquisitor threesome. Cassandra can handle giants, dragons, abominations & Varric's jokes but can she handle two ....hungry Qunari, with her as the main course.

Yeah. He's very private with the relationship between himself and the inquisitor, which makes me think he wouldn't ever, for instance, let someone watch a session between them. Basically whenever he lifted control from the inquisitor, I don't think he would share that.

 

I like the idea of writing a drunken one-time-thing with Dorian where they all end up in bed together, but I think in the morning, Bull might have regrets about that? Not necessarily regretting the sex, but regretting have to shut Dorian out and keep it clear that it was a one time thing? Unless Dorian is made of sterner stuff then everyone makes him out to be, (I still haven't romanced him), so that he would be totally okay with a one-night thing?

 

Either way, it'd still be hot as hell. >_>

I'm currently writing some fluff fanfic of my own, about M!Cadash being carted about on Bull's shoulders. I haven't written much before, at least not in the Dragon Age universe, but I'd like to do it while still playing through the game for the first time. IMO, feels more special.   

The fanfic is WIP, though I thought I'd spread word that I'm writing it in case anybody is interested.

You know, I have (now that I am romancing Bull) read quite a bit on his romance arc, and so many people are peeved because they see Bull being happier if you leave him alone to start a relationship with Dorian.  But frankly I don't see it.  In fact, I completely disagree.  He says of Dorian that he is a gentle lover.  But I think Bull needs a little more spice which the Inquisitor gives him.  Until I romanced Bull personally (on my last play though I got Bull and Dorian together), I didn't realize he was into safe words and such.  I think, after experiencing both arcs for him, that he is entirely more happy with the inquisitor.

 

I never heard him call Dorian 'Kadan,' and he never used lovey words when referring to him.  Nor did he ever worry for Dorian's safety.  I think Dorian was a challenge and we all know how Bull relishes challenges.  I also believe that because Bull is reeling from the loss of either the Qun or the Chargers, he uses Dorian as a safety blanket.  Same for Dorian.  He too is at a crossroads in his life at the moment.  Not that they don't genuinely care about each other when you let them be together, but I don't think his affection for Dorian is as deep as his love for the Inquisitor.

 

But yea, I get so irritated with people sometimes, I am thinking don't you listen to what the characters are saying???  Don't get me started on Solas.  But what is your take?  Is Bull happier with Quizzie or Dorian?   

 

**Edit to add**  I don't think Bull would be cool with sharing.  If it was Dorian yes, he would share and relish it.  But I think that with the necklace done and all.  I think that he would lop off a stray hand for touching 'his' Kadan.

Helps that Quizzy doesn't constantly insult Bull as well.

 

With Bull's happier scenes though he sounds more serious than the loud bolstering he does with Dorian (which honestly is why I like it more). When he said he was a better man having met my Quizzy I there's a tenderness there I don't see with Dorian.

Yes. I have to agree. I think Bull's relationship with Dorian is a completely different animal. Bull approaches casual sex in a >How can we both benefit from this kind of way. He sees Dorian, sees a man who needs to be tumbled good, but also needs to be shown that there's nothing to be ashamed of, needs a confidence boost. So Bull plays the part, they start a relationship, etc etc. They might progress into something more akin to the Inquisitor's relationship over time, but as far as we see? I don't think so.

 

Bull changes with the Inquisitor. It might start out as casual sex, but it doesn't stay that way long. Quizzy is special for him, and it's precious and adorable even while it is kinky as hell. ♥

 

I quite like the idea of Bull being possessive as hell of his Inquisitor, as well.

 

Would also love to read this upcoming fluffy fanfic, there needs to be moaaaaaaarr Iron Bull!

Everyone has their opinions, and we only see a small slice of IB/Dorian, but I don't really know what people mean either when they say that relationship is better than Inquisitor/Bull. I mean... I like 'em both but... after the necklace, and getting the title of kadan, I'd definitely say Bull's romance w/Inquisitor is very sweet and we don't get to see that looking from the outside with IB/Dorian.

I agree. I'm guessing they probably didn't want to take it too far with his implied dominance so more would be open to romancing him, but I certainly wouldn't have minded a line like that.

Thanks to my nosy roommate I saw Dorian's butt lol. He clicked on a few random YouTube videos when the game first came out. Dorian's moustache ruins it for me & there is the whole "He is trying to steal my man thing" that he does.
