All I really want it a dev to admit they were trolling us about the fingers, because for some reason I'm more bothered about it than a normal person should be. ..And now the same thing with the tattoos. XD

 

 

......I hate Dorian......because he tries to steal my man!!! Also I do hate how the AI can't use the reaver tree that well. It is just so annoying!

 

Not if you've already claimed him, at least.

 

I like Dorian. He's my best friend in every file. And he's not perfect of course, but I appreciate his honesty and kindness.

Well not if you romance Bull first no plus as much as it pains me Bull does go after the mage booty first. (Why he can't be so forward with my PC after I already hit the flirt button and why that conquer you dialogue is wasted on Dorian still has me smh though.)

 

It can't use DW assassin either.

 

I changed to Solas for five seconds. Because I needed to get him to use fade step because hurr durr stand in front of Behemoth because THAT makes sense. And I throw a barrier on Bull. By the time I've done this. My DWR was dead. And it wasn't even a shadow that got him! (I know that because said shadow was on Bull the whole time). So I'm sitting there going "wat" and then I see his corpse.

 

...Standing in front of the Behemoth that he was orginally behind.

 

The damn thing hadn't even turned around.

No! Most of us in here are adoribull defenders! I know how you feel though, that's the same reason I avoid the Dorian thread despite loving him. So I can't blame ya, but just want you to know there are plenty Dorian fans in here.

I think the wounds still sting from that dorian/bull debate... and some people might still feel a little defensive, but I've seen more Dorian love than hate in here. Heck, we were just talking about his glorious sparkling booty a couple pages back.

 

 

Okay well... good to know! I guess I was just a little taken aback coming into the thread and reading all that. Also I'm a rabid Dorian fan so I get a wee bit defensive.

 

I am REALLY enjoying my play through with Bull though! My first 2 play throughs I didn't use/talk to him much, but I'm regretting that now. He has a huge depth of character that I did not get to see until this go round. The romance with him is also simultaneously touching and hilarious. He's a pretty cool dude.

Yeah, I feel like many people who claim Bull is 'boring' or 'bland' don't build up his approval and friendship enough... it takes some effort, but getting to know him makes him a really cool and fascinating character! The cutscene interactions are lacking without a romance I suppose, but his banter is where he really usually shines, I'd say. He always has something either really hilarious or intelligent to say. x3 Glad you're enjoying it!

Don't delete. I just started a nightmare playthrough. This shall be useful now.

My biggest weakness with these games is probably giving characters a good tactical build (which is sadly like the most important thing), so your sleep-deprived advice is still better than anything I could come up with haha. My first answer to Bull's squishyness was just giving him a bunch of passive guard abilities... I think it kinda helped? maybe...  really need to implement dat combat roll next time.

So I hear in the bull romance (I haven't done it) you have to kill a dragon and give its tooth to bull to further the romance or whatever. Does dorian have to do that? or is he just so majestic that bull looks at him and goes "Dat stache" and they fall madly in love.

It's never mentioned as far as I know. If Dorian wants the kadan treatment I guess he better get to some dragon slaying! xD I'd help him. That's what friends are for.

I go after the Hinterlands dragon at around lvl 15. Usually get my lock in after Here comes the abyss but before wicked eyes wicked hearts.

 

Also that tooth was totally an excuse for Bull to go dragon hunting. He's not slick.

Her, the Crestwood and the Exalted Plains dragons are actually the only ones I've fought so far. Well, I did try the Storm Coast dragon... but I was way underleveled at the time and had to GTFO. XD Haven't gone back yet. lol.

I gotta admit, I think one thing Bull loves so much about the Inquisitor is their strength/power... so it makes sense hunting down a dragon for him and giving him a symbol of that power is what makes him want to fully commit. Dorian is different... not in a bad way, but I think their relationship is different, so the way they would show eachother they are serious would probably be different as well.

I have been using my free-camera tools to eye up Bull's fingers for the past hour, and I have to wonder where I've gone wrong in my life, but I still can't get a consistent answer. :<

My first dragon was totally the crestwood dragon. Because I'm such a heavily fire-mage-tree spec, the hinterland dragon takes a bit more gear before I can kill him properly on nightmare. Crestwood is pretty easy as long as you don't kill yourself with those stupid lightning circles she puts around your feet. >_> Not that I've done that. But...I've totally done that. ._.

 

Bull as party tank on nightmare is still the best. ♥ I haven't tried to make a 2h warrior work on nightmare, but I have heard that all you need to do is craft him some guard on hit gear and he becomes ridiculously tanky, even on nightmare spec. Deep into his reaver tree though, Bull is still incredibly heavy hitting with a sword+shield.

 

As for Dorian, he's still one of my favorite characters in the game, right there next to Bull and Cole. I stay away from the Dorian thread for the same reason I might have offended the Dorian fans here, so I'll stop that because I'd like to be better than the haters. It's completely possible to love both of them. I'm sure I'll love Dorian even more when I start his romance and experience it for myself, instead of using second hand information from people as fact. xD

The Crestwood dragon was actually kinda hard for me until I was smart enough to make some lightning resistance potions. XD; That's my problem... I just always jump into everything all gung-ho and regret it later. lol.

I always thought it was the PC simply showing that Bull did mean enough to get the tooth in the first place (but seriously where do the Qunari even get dragon teeth? They can't all go dragon hunting. Is there a shop in Par Vollen or something? "Get your dragon teeth here! Fine Dragon teeth direct from Par Vollen you won't find better!") That plus being blunt about being happy with him in front of Cullen, Cass and Josie probably did it.

 

Heck no if I have to nearly get charred by dragon's breath and having to run around rezzing Solas for the uptmost time because the AI derps and stands right next to the dragon spewing fire/lighting/WHATEVER so does mage boy.

Yeah my archer was an assassin.   Now you see...now you don't.  I love I was never here. Not much use against dragons but usually hilarious.

Like he was basically picking out a ring, and then leaving hints around the house so that we knew exactly which one to buy him. And then still "OH MY GOD HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED? YOU ARE A MIND READER AND I LOVE YOU FOR THAT."

I think he really was surprised because where he comes from, romance isn't really something that happens often. Or it may happen, but isn't outwardly shown. So this is probably his first truly committed relationship, and I just think it's adorable.

 

Oh, I love that dialogue, it was with Cole right? Where he points out he doesn't want to hurt people unless it's their choice. xD I d'aawd.
