Aw, I'm sorry. I never could bring myself to do that. I saw a youtube video of it, and Bull just looked so...broken afterward. ![]()
Lol, at Krem standing on his chair. He's always doing that when I walk in the tavern and then he hurries up and sits down like he sees me coming.

Krem sometimes stays standing on the chair the whole time for me. I can have a convo with him standing on that chair. xD It's great.

The one and only time I could ever bring myself to kill the Chargers... Krem's chair felt so empty afterwards. And Bull was not the Bull I'd come to know and love. He was so broken.
Never again!

I got a random stupid question about Iron Bull well a few so feel free to either ignore or humor me they really add up to nothing more than for a head canon (maybe a fan fic if I ever pick up writing again) Okay stupid questions incoming in 3, 2, 1, what kind of food do you think Iron Bull would be really fond of? (yeah stupid I warned stupid many times) Also, do you think Iron Bull would be good at picking up that the person he's with is in emotional pain and what are some Bull like ways you think he would try to comfort them? Anyway sorry for wasting time but thanks for reading if ya did.

Isn't cocoa mentioned somewhere in game? He also seemed really fond of whatever nuts they were serving at the ball, if you bring him there. And food in general, really.
Also at the ball in my game, someone ended up being executed, and if you express sadness at that result, he does a bit of comforting. Nothing too mushy, but he seemed sympathetic. Based on how skilled he is at reading people around him, I think he'd know if someone he was in a relationship with was upset about something.

I must have missed the cocoa thing but I do remember the nuts those things did sound yummy. Hmm guess I'll go with whatever feels right since he really doesn't seem to be that picky on food ![]()
Really? I didn't notice that either I need to pay more attention to it then. I've got this weird thing about making my characters miserable and the one I had with Bull I head canon that she had a sister who died in the explosion who was only there because of her. That's why I was wondering since like I said I"m pretty messed and she does do her best to hide it but she's gonna break down eventually from loosing someone she was that close to and blaming herself for it.
Thanks for the help ![]()

Bull is a service top. He is all about giving his partner what they need to make them relaxed and happy. That, alongside his Ben-Hassrath training, I'd say he's very perceptive. Not only would he probably be able to pick up on her hurting, he'd probably be able to piece together what it was about and how to solve it, given enough time and motivation.

Very good points she probably wouldn't be able to hide it from him very long even if she is very stubborn and does put the whole closing the hole the sky thing first it would be her first time dealing with a loss that close to her heart. Now if only she'd co operate with me I could get some of this down but characters can be so stubborn. I have no idea how people can put out stuff regularly with problems like that ![]()

Hmm, aside from cocoa and nuts, I think he also mentions some kind of cheese at the ball. And alcohol. Maybe a better question would be if there's anything Bull wouldn't like.
He seems extremely astute about other people's pain, actually. Aside from within the romance, there are a few lines of banter with other characters where he picks up on something that's bothering them. With Sera, he figures out that she doesn't like thinking about the gory details of people getting killed. With Dorian, he points out that they both had to leave behind their homeland, and that maybe Dorian is bothered seeing Bull reflect that back at him. Bull is a carer and a comforter, but I think he also likes to nudge people to examine the things that are bothering them.
I do kind of wish we could do more nice things for him
I mean of course dragon hunting. But when my PC's asking him what he needs and he's all "I'm good" I just kind of want to shake him.
Yes. You big dumb cow, let me love you! But I think for him, being in a position of control where he can care for other people might be his own way of dealing with his problems.

I think a lot of Bull's needs are centered around providing what is needed. It's just part of what makes him tick. He's happy when he's making other people happy, when he's giving them what they need and solving their problems. He's also clearly a kinky guy, so when that all lines up and he gets someone who needs some kink, who needs to give him control, then I think he's all hnnnngh and content.
Still. Dragon-scented horn balm. It's a thing. He's going to get some, carefully applied by a enthusiastic and very naked inquisitor. Fanfiction will make it so. ♥

I agree that he's perceptive. Though, I haven't seen that as an observant character, he is discerning in how he approaches an emotional issue. When IB says that to Dorian in banter, doesn't Dorian get angry? Sera sounds annoyed when IB tries to discuss her issue. He's Qunari. He rather be hit with a stick when he's very upset. He's not often mushy, but he could be with the inquisitor. It's his first serious romantic relationship and a permanent one. I think he's willing to learn for her/him, and that he would be a fast learner, but he'd have to get to that point first. (Perhaps with funny results.) I think that would make excellent fanfiction, too!

Yeeesss
(I wish we could've gotten some for him. Even if we didn't get to apply it. I mean surely at least qunari quizzy has to get some. I couldn't share?)

Well this has cemented one thing I know I need to do then, I need to write my Inquisitor much better. Maybe working backwards might help? *sigh* It's been way too long since I wrote anything my skills might have rusted up too much, still nice ideas to think about at least.
Also agreed about the dragon balm, should have been a thing ![]()

That is true. He is awfully blunt about delicate issues at times. On the other hand, those comments do seem helpful. Dorian seemed kind of annoyed about being told they might be at all similar, but before that line comes up, I'm pretty sure they'd mostly bickered. They are, after all, both from warring countries. Pointing out to a former enemy that you might have common ground is actually a pretty decent thing to do. And with Sera, the next conversation between them is Sera telling him to say something silly whenever he hit things, so she doesn't have to think about the gory stuff. He says he doesn't get it, but promises to do it. So I think Iron Bull just values people ultimately getting over their issues more than whether they get annoyed or defensive with him in the short term.
Which is, of course, ironic since, like you say, he'd rather get hit with a stick than deal with his own issues. He's far better at taking care of other people than himself.

Which is why it's up to your Quizzy to not take advantage of him, and take good care of him in return! ![]()

Bull loves food in general, so I'd guess he would try most anything but as already pointed out it's hinted he likes cocoa so he might have a special fondness for sweet things.
I think he's very good at reading people, so yes. I think he would know when something is up with someone, especially someone he's close to/cares about. He may think he knows what's best for people and what they need which can come off as condescending to some, but even if it's not always true he's still damn good at it. As for comforting... well, there's the obvious method of his stress relief, but I imagine he also has other ways as well - he likes to serve, as is shown often, so I imagine he would do just about anything he thinks would help, if that means just talking to you or taking you on an activity he thinks you'd enjoy, ect.

I'll try putting the sweet angle down see how it comes of, if I'm lucky my character wont complain and protest to the idea.
Maybe I should read other fan fic for insperation then since I'm not good at this kind of thing most of my writing just goes to rps (though I've yet to meet someone that actually sticks around who wants to rp anything dragon age) I think most of my problems boil down to my character being so stubborn with how she lets me write her so she shoots down a lot of ideas and I've yet to actually attempt to write Iron Bull and that's a bit of a scary feat to me. ![]()

I can't help but wonder if Bull's liking for cocoa is a nod to Sten liking cookies. xD Hehe.
I'm sure you'll get a great idea soon and be able to go with it! The hardest thing about writing for me is the start... gotta think of the perfect idea first. I'm not great at that, but once you find something finally you can find you're suddenly on a roll! Good luck ![]()

Might be! I'd like to think that all Qunari like some kind of sweets.
I can usually think of a good middle for an idea but getting to that point that I thought of is ahh its torture. Maybe I'm doing it wrong writing around to get to a poitn I already thought of
Thank you though hopefully something actually tumbles out and starts working , been a long time since I've wanted to put an idea down so badly.
