Hello IB afficionados.  I'm currently playing a little cute Lavellan rift mage who was supposed to romance Dorian but unlike my first playthrough when I wasn't trying to romance him, his quest did not trigger.  So what's a Lavellan to do?  I thought it was way late and didn't expect much to happen but after his personal quest, on the wall when he's confronted by the fake guards, my Lavellan flirted.  It was sweet because he told Bull he was basically a good person.

 

The next time I decided to have him flirt in the tavern, I had to laugh because apparently my Lavellan is quite bold, saying he wants to see what Bull can do with that mouth of his.  And then... boom, Bull was waiting for him in his bedroom.  How the hell??! 

 

Anyway, I'm afraid my Lavellan might break.  But he seems quite happy with his alleyway kisses to Enya music.

 

Oh and I had to laugh when he asked Sera what she thought about Bull and she said she was surprised he could still walk. 

 

So though I wasn't planning on it, this has been a cute romance.

Someday I'll write something for them that isn't pure frickin' smut, but damn. I need to get some of the smut out first so I can focus on the other stuff!

 

Beyond that, I've given up. My rogue Lavellan that I was very much intending for Dorian is going to be for Bull too. I also think I'm going to make it my 100% playthrough instead of my Knight-Enchanter.

 

Just because, I realize now I did things the wrong way on my Knight-Enchanter. I should have cleared a few areas much sooner in the game, because now I'm rolling through level 12 areas as level 20, and my knight-enchanter is two shotting things even on nightmare. ;_;

 

A Revenant managed to gib Dorian when he popped up without me noticing, but there's really no difficulty at all. I wish there was a way to scale all enemies level to yours, but for now I'm hoping a dual wield rogue as my main will be a little more challenging than Knight-Enchanter. >_>

Well, it wouldn't be so bad if I was at least able to fight things my own level in the zones I haven't cleared! Yes, Knight-Enchanter is godly, I will admit. But it's just so goddamn fun! I think if mobs levels scaled it would be a bit better overall.

 

I am thinking my Dorian playthrough will have to be a warrior, so I can try all the things. Is it sad that I want it to be a reaver so I can smell good for Bull? Damnit I'm supposed to be romancing Dorian with my warrior!...I'm hopeless.

Link to NSFW Iron Bull/Male Mage Lavellan Fanfiction. I wanted to give my Lavellan a bit more depth than "He is the elf with no first name that Bull is boning", so this was my attempt to do that. Feedback is lusted for. My editing is also shite, but it's better than it was before I went over it at least. xD

I finally read the fanfic and absolutely loved it. You had just enough angst to make the reader really feel for the Inquisitor. I absolutely abhor those fics that just slop on the angst for no reason, its all "oh woe is me, I'm going to spend 90% of the story in tears because the author keeps making my life miserable for no reason." The smut was great but I really loved when Bull said that the quizzy can call him a savage qunari and fight him if he wanted to more or less. I just thought that sounded really hot. I saw that lap scene at the end.....you talked about that on the thread here...lol nice.

I wish more people could see that the sub in the relationship is in control of everything. An example in your fic was when Bull asked what is off limits. It was a small but very important part. There is more to those types of relationships than meets the eye.

Very much so! I got all happy when Cole spouted off his lines to Bull, about "He submits, but you serve." Just because it was so perfect and right. ♥ And then Bull just gets huffy that he's ruining the mystery of it, because he knows exactly how it works already. Just proves that Bull is a good dom to me, he's got it all figured out.

 

The best response to that line is to ask him if that's how it really is. Because then Bull just responds with all bluster, and when Cole tries to chime in again he's just all SHHH. Because. He's Iron Bull. And it's perfect. ♥ (It's also the only time that Bull flat out dirty talks you in front of everyone. Hnngh.)

I still want to romance Solas at some point for story content, and I really want to give Cullen a shot. Four games later...neither has happened. Then I got the idea to only romance Bull with my qunari...now all I play are qunari. (I really like the qunari). Solas' poor elf mage just sits there, and Cullen's human rogue ran off with Bull.

Yes I've heard that you can start flirting with him in skyhold and that will still trigger his romance.

 

I've had...three elves so far, all of them have ended up with Bull. I'm promising myself that when I make a human, he will go with Dorian.

I admit...I had no idea what he was referring to when he was talking about the tamassrans in Haven. I thought about it, too, but that never crossed my mind. Yeaaah, I think that our very kinky Bull got sandwiched between a couple of people, including a tamassaran with a strap on. Sinceh e mentions the rod wrapped in leather, the harness, and then the fact that there were more people than just the two of them. It sounds like...qunari have this whole sex thing figured out!

 

Annnd yeah despite my dirty mind I totally saw him just...acting obtuse to your flirting as always. xD Since afterwards he complains about how orlesian food isn't filling. Now, that could allll be taken very wrongly, but my mind didn't go there that time which is impressive for me!
