Oh, Hawke is still alive in my games, too. Imposter she may be, but I still can't bring myself to leave her in the Fade. I love Fenris too much for that.

 

My current game though, it's going to be tough. I deliberately made it so the choice is between her and Alistair.

 

Same. (Plus I don't really like Stroud so it's like a non choice since I hate the DR and Alistair's always king in my games). 

 

Yeah I can't do that. Telling Morrigan no to the DR is too gratifying.

 

 

Yeeeup. There's gonna be a fight, and the Grey Wardens are going to be scrambling to get out of their way while they destroy furniture and yell at each other.

 

And then once they've gotten all that out of the way, they'll be finding some flat surfaces to pin each other against next. :3 And the Grey Wardens will be like, Maybe we should just...go...and come back later...like ...next spring...

I mean....out of all the things that would mess you up in the world, I'm pretty sure that's high up on that list.

 

I'm glad that Iron Bull saved him from that. I'm glad that he finds some release from the anger and bitterness in the Qun. But he needs to learn some diplomacy, if he's going to not end up on my bad side in a real hurry. <.<

Maybe, but the Kieran + Morrigan scene when confronting Flemeth was sooooooooo well done.

Didn't like him. Especially with Cole.

 

To be fair Cole's a mind probing spirit and even if he's only trying to help having someone dredge up your painful memories doesn't lead to good reactions. I mean you really think Fenris would've had a positive reaction to Cole?

I got my happy ending though. Hardened Ali as king married to Anora and no DR. (Plus for some reason I can make my PC Alistair's mistress despite not doing the DR and having loghain kill himself so I took that cheat gladly )

Yeah it's why I pretty much accept his lashing out at Dorian (especially since he pretty much paints a target on his back with the whole "you ran away to the oppressive qun.") I think I might be angry at Gatt if Dorian hadn't said that but since he pretty much started the mud slinging my pity was at zero.

 

Same. But yeah he could learn some diplomacy but it wasn't that big a deal to me? I guess because when I did have Cole he pretty much reduced Gatt to tears within a few seconds. It was hard to get mad at him after that.

I'm...remembering this differently haha. In my playthrough, I don't really rememer Cole saying much at all, but Gatt immedietly started attacking the fact that Iron Bull was travelling with a demon. Bull told him to get over it because Cole was a good kid and that was that.

I think there's 2 different banters. There's one with Gatt straight up calls him a demon. And there's another where Cole digs through Gatt's memories and mentions the magisters fingers on his spine.

 

I know I didn't imagine the second banter. I had it trigger before.

Anything that makes Gatt more sympathetic can only be a good thing. I feel for him, I do, but I'm not fond of him

Alright. It's not triggering. Maybe it was my imagination. All I know is I'm tired of trying to trigger it.

 

Edit: The only variation I haven't tried yet is spirit cole and I'll try that when I get back home.

When the game first came out my roommate was looking at spoilers on YouTube and he stumbled across a video titled "Goodbye Hawke." He of course asked who is Hawke while clicking on the video & being the ******* moron that I am I watched with him. Watching Hawke sacrifice himself wasn't that bad but it was Varric's asking where's Hawke that literally made me cry. Thank the Maker there was a hug option when you talk to him later. I was screaming for the person to pick the hug option & luckily they did. I will NEVER picked that option in any of my playthroughs, I just can't go through it. I had a friend call me & told me she restarted her game when she was force to choose between Hawke & Alistair.

 

I applaude Bioware for actually doing something like that. Hopefully in the next game they really make DA a DARK FANTASY. More death, hard choices, more death, severe consquences, more death.

I'm still kicking myself over not picking the hug option but at the time I had bad info and thought that Varric would get ticked at you for trying to hug him. I'll still kill off some Hawkes but I will never take Varric with me when I do again. My heart just can't take it.  Was hard to enjoy hitting Iron Bull with a stick after that sadness with Varric.
