Ugh at this moment I wish Bull's alcohol was real....I have a blasted winter cold and I need something that burns my throat to the point of where my nose, ears, and throat is no longer plugged up.

O_O Horseradish? Hell no...ugh I hate that stuff...and I'm not a huge fan of hot sauce. Perhaps some very hot curry?  I have a feeling that I would pass out into the curry since I am on some pretty strong cold medicine, and word of the wise....do not write a story when you are in the state I am. You get some very colorful scenes. Meh, I hate being sick.

I'm going to trust you on this...now I just have to find out where I would get horseradish at midnight. Eh, this is not good time for me! At least you are getting more story ideas so that is good, and I am making progress in my story or losing progress.

I say go ahead and start on the other story. Maybe the new one will spark something that will enable you to finish the old one. While I have ideas dor stories in my head creative writing isn't my thing honestly. As a former broadcast journalism major I can write a informal editoral but if you are asking me to describe the graceful movements of an elf or how the sunlight shines upon their hair to give it a golden glow; you need to look elsewhere lol.

I can see where you are coming from there and that can be a hard barrier to get past. There was someone on the Varric/Cassandra thread that spoke of something similar. Personally I would just write as I was writing it only for my eyes alone then maybe sometime later post it somewhere but maybe change your screenname to hide your identity.

I'm confused. From what I understand, the scene where you drink with the Chargers usually only happens before the romance arc begins.

This scene is the drinking after you've killed your first dragon, not with the Chargers.
