Yeah. When it all works out and Cory is dead, Iron Bull would get my Inquisitor giving him a very pointed look, until he finally sighed and went "Fine, fine, you were right." xD
Then Quizzie would reward him for the admission. ♥

I completely see where you're coming from, and that decision was, for me, more difficult than deciding who stays behind in the Fade. It's a gamble, either way. Personally, I was all for leaving the damn thing alone. The game had other ideas, however. Also, Morrigan withheld info before. There's no guarantee she'd be completely forthcoming in whatever knowledge she gained from the well. She's also not the easiest person to find if she doesn't want to be found, so if killing her later becomes necessary, I doubt she'd wait around for it. The inquisitor, who has many close associations at this point, would have a much more difficult time of slipping off somewhere unnoticed, or acting out of character without raising some kind of alarms. Or so I tell myself ![]()
I'm not arguing that one way is better than the other, and I understand people have plenty of reasons for choosing the way they do. I suppose I'm justifying my own decision. Not that I think it necessary in this particular case, but I've read some very heated arguments where people seem to think that if you don't make the same choices they did, you're playing wrong.
Oh hell na, don't worry about having to justify your choices, I think that all the game options are absolutely valid. (Other than things like, I dont recruit them, that solves all my problems and now canonically they shouldn't exist!) I have only finished the game with not drinking, but I intend to do my next playthrough with the Inquisitor actually drinking, just to see how that goes. Then I'll just pick the one I like the most. ![]()
Now if some DLC comes out, and it's Fen'heral sweeping his way through Thedas, killing and murdering, and using whoever drank from the well as his puppet, then...yeah I'll go ahead and not drink. I do want my Inquisitor to get at least a shot at a happily ever after, I tend to get attached and don't want them killed off. Yes, my Warden is still alive and humping Zevran quite happily while they continue their adventures. I want the same for my Lavellan. ![]()
Oh, I both anticipate and dread the consequences of that decision. I remember the first time I actually had my inquisitor drink, I was poised for a reload. The bit about a great boon, but at great personal cost terrified me. I kept thinking they were going to sacrifice your LI or something. So after that didn't happen, I think was so relieved that any other consequences seemed acceptable.
And yeah, if you turn out to be Solas' instrument of murder and mayhem, I would choose differently. The thing is, I just can't see that from him. He hates slavery, and well, you haven't actually drank yet, so we'll leave it at that. I'm hoping you'll be able to talk him down or something, if it comes to that. Solas and my character were friends, and he told her on more than one occasion how much he respected her. I'm hoping that, despite what the player finds out later, that actually meant something.
Yeah, I think I'm going to have a save for when I drank, and a save for when I didn't, and then if further content comes out, I am ready for either path. x3
Personally I chose not to drink from the well and will stand by my choice everytime. My reasoning was very simple. Morrigan was willing to pay the price & my quizzy was not (from a player perspective after we find out about the servant to an old god part I just want one of my MCs to actually STAY with there LI). I can understand the argument of not trusting the random apostate with mundane arcane knowledge but all in all my decision was based on being selfish.
Yea, that's pretty much how all my decisions in DA:O ended up being made. Everything lined up so that my warden could stay with Zevran. And now they are still glued at the hip, fighting off baddies while the warden tries to cure his blight so that he can live even longer to be with Zevran. Works for me!
Fenris is on his way to meet up with Hawke, and so hopefully they'll be safely back together soon as well.
Now, I just gotta find out how many hoops I must jump through to get my quizzie happily seated in the Bull's Chargers for the rest of his dragon hunting carreer! ![]()
Champion, Reaver & Tempest

Mine depended heavily on the character I was playing.
One was a power hungry noble. How dare Morrigan steal a source of power from under him? That was *his* well. Prince Aubrey doesn't share well, you see.
Then my elf Aithne wasn't going to let Morrigan take her heritage from her. Morrigan didn't even belong in the temple! As she saw it only Solas and she deserved to be in such a place of worship, and since Solas wouldn't drink, then she had to.
If it isn't obvious I don't really "roleplay" my characters. They're just simple extensions of myself lol.
I couldn't do that. Not enough replayablity for me; also I want to see every option and every extra bit of content possible. Lol.
A GLORIOUS PERSON ON TUMBLR HAS SAVED US ALL.
This person has posted a mod that gives Iron Bull his tattoos all the time!
And I don't understand how tumblr works enough to give you a direct link to the post, so go hunt it down while it's hot!
Now I'll be able to actually upgrade Iron Bull's armor, and not just keep him in that one armor set that showed his tattoos just cuz hnnnngh. ♥♥♥
....
There has to be someone out there that's as excited about this as I am. @_@

Also I totally don't drink from the well. I just have my quizzy side eye Bull before going Sten No. My characters have no intention of being under the thumb of something they've never even met. Especially not for some information. They'd been happy just breaking the damn thing but Morrigan had to intervene.
They laugh their ass off once Flemeth shows up though. Lolerskates.
I'm supposed to be writing but instead I'm running around with Bull staring at his awesome sexy tattoos.

lol
That is that YouTube is for, well at least for me anyway. I got into dragon age because I was promised stratigic gameplay but stayed for the sex. Honestly I was told about DA from a gaming friend of mine & downloaded the demo of DA2 and saw a taunt skill. After finding out I could tank I bought the game later on that day. At best I'll replay the game twice but it'll lose its appeal for me after that. I'm more into fighting games but have a soft spot for RPGs.I couldn't do that. Not enough replayablity for me; also I want to see every option and every extra bit of content possible. Lol.
Definitely excited about the tattoos. This just might be enough motivation for another play through ![]()
I found a slower-leveling mod that made me really happy, since I never got to clear all the areas because I'd always feel overleveled for them. :s Now I don't have to worry about that!
All I need now is a mod that lets me change companion specializations, and then I'll be completely happy! I want to keep my main crew, but I would like to play with the other specs. Completely non-canon of course, that's just for the gameplay part of it.
Thank you so much for your responses, guys
. It feels great to see different viewpoints, not just your own. Especially when you're upset. Stupid Well. I really, really loved the romance until we bumped into it. Heck, I even have three other Adaars waiting to ride The Bull (because one is not enough)
.
I think it was just a case of Bioware's laziness that you can't even talk to Bull afterwards and be like "So, you know how you don't really like the idea of one person taking over your mind? Yeah, had I drunk I would have had hundreds of people taking over my mind, plus an old god pulling the strings." And Bull being like "....well ****."
Yes this would be awesome and definitely in Bull's style
.
You're romancing a qunari so it's definitely not Alistair from Origins who immediately goes into calling you "My love" and "My dear". But the big guy is sweet on you and he shows it his own way.
Yes, I'd not expect or want Bull to write poems or sing serenades. I mean, it's The Iron Bull we are talking about and that's what we love about him, right? Just the idea of Bull bringing flowers to my Inquisitor...
nope, that's wrong, that's just wrong .. ![]()
I don't know, maybe if we could have one or two more scenes, or conversations with him... it could make a difference. For me, at least
.
Anyway, thank you again and...well, I think I should explore the romance further
.

Sooo, instead of working on the next chapter of my story like I should be, I got attacked by a drabble monster that demands satisfaction.
>.> And I just got back from work and really want to play Iron Bull: The Game, as well.
Man, so many things I want to do, so little ability to decide on which to do first!

I can't watch Youtube videos because they aren't my character. Yes, I know I'm ridiculous. ![]()
