Who knows; maybe that sword is out and out awesome.
Personally I've always been a *huge* fan of that design for some reason, and was rather disappointed that the swords with that model in DA2 were subpar, at least by the time I got them.

Seriously? Have you seen swords in DA2? Some are bigger than the characters
its varric telling the story, dont tell him how to tell it
The existence of Hayder's Razor makes so much more sense now.its varric telling the story, dont tell him how to tell it
It would be very interesting to find out that the Iron Bull still holds on to his sword and considers it a part of him, despite putting on this facade that he hates the Qunari (assuming from early info) As for the similarity in design to the Arishok and "Aristen" it may just be a popular design choice in the qunari military similar to the M4 in the US military
I've met plenty of Gun bunnies (drop shorts) who hate the army, but none that throw away their Gat.
Quote alot of the older blokes in my unit used to say, riddled with aussie slang but the point is a soldiers weapon is important to him.

Apparently there's some doubt on that, being that tomorrow's a holiday and all.
We'll see.

I like it.
I didn't mean it was the same sword, just that it's obviously a Qunari sword. I believe Sten says in Origins that each Qunari soldier is issued a sword and then they consider it a part of them, doesn't he? So, I think they are basically standard issue. I wondered, mostly, if the one Iron Bull carries is sort of his last connection with the Qun.
The Iron Bull will make his own doors.
Inquisitor: My friend, we need to have a talk, if you don't mind.
Iron Bull: Hm? What is it, Inquisitor?
Quizzy: *sigh* Here's the thing. Do you know what a doorway is?
IB: ... Is this a trick question?
Quizzy: Just... just humor me, Bull.
IB: *raises eyebrow* No, I don't know what a doorway is. What are those? We do not have such infernal things on Par Vollen.
Quizzy: Don't be an ass. IB: *chuckles* Sorry. Yes, I know what a doorway is. Why do you ask?
Quizzy: Because if you know what a doorway is, surely you know that people don't take kindly to their doorposts being splintered all to hell by your horns?
IB: *crosses arms* They do not make doorways here large enough for me to fit through normally, Inquisitor. I must make my own way.
Quizzy: You "making your own way" is costing me a small fortune to repair. So stop it.
IB: Aw, but...
Quizzy: Stop. It. Unless I tell you to, you are no longer allowed to smash doors, small, large, hostile or otherwise. Are we clear?
IB: How can a door be host... OW!
Quizzy: *holding him by the ear* Are. We. Clear?
IB: Yes! Yes we're clear!
Quizzy: Good. I'm glad we could come to an understanding. *walks away*
Varric: ... Well, that was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
IB: Quiet, you.
Varric: Hey, I'm not judging you for liking it a little when the Inquisitor bosses you around...
IB: Pashaara. I mean it, dwarf. Shut up.
I noticed that Sten and Iron Bull's sword in these pictures are basically the same design;

Do you think Iron Bull still considers his weapon to be a part of him, the way Sten did in DA:O? Do you think that's why he still has it, despite apparently leaving the Qunari as a philosophy?
Edit - Noticed it's also the old Arishok's sword. http://oi59.tinypic.com/16knwnm.jpg
Huh, nice find.
Could go either way in my opinion, either it's hinting at Iron Bull's past or it's just a common qunari weapon design.
Makes ya think though hey.
IB: Parshaara. I mean it, dwarf. Shut up.
Ooh, that got me thinking, it would be pretty cool if Iron Bull and the qunari Inquisitor used Qunlat words every now and then.

Anyway, I thought it was funny ![]()

Hehe, yes, it was probably an F!Quizzy. I do try to stay gender-neutral most of the time, but sometimes the comedic possibilities drive me to write what I know.
Aw, thanks! I do strive to be humorous rather than obnoxious, most days, I swear. ^^

Yeah, I was wondering that too. Considering that a Qun!Quizzy would be Vashoth, I wonder if they would know basic Qunlat or not. There's also the little issue of the player not knowing Qunlat, so having the option to say something would require a translation or explanation of some kind. Not all of us are dedicated enough to read up on this stuff, after all.
Yey, at least you try ![]()

Wouldn't she need a chair to reach his ear?

Not just a Femquizzy but a Dwarf Femquizzy
Ohoho, Lady Cadash the Qunari Wrangler. I like it.
Wouldn't she need a chair to reach his ear?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that either they were both sitting down, or she brought a large crate to the conversation for this specific purpose.
Lol, now i'm imagining her jumping and falling on her face ![]()
