Who knows; maybe that sword is out and out awesome.

 

Personally I've always been a *huge* fan of that design for some reason, and was rather disappointed that the swords with that model in DA2 were subpar, at least by the time I got them.

It would be very interesting to find out that the Iron Bull still holds on to his sword and considers it a part of him, despite putting on this facade that he hates the Qunari (assuming from early info) As for the similarity in design to the Arishok and "Aristen" it may just be a popular design choice in the qunari military similar to the M4 in the US military

 

I've met plenty of Gun bunnies (drop shorts) who hate the army, but none that throw away their Gat.

I only meant it in terms of the M4 being a popular design among the US military

I didn't mean it was the same sword, just that it's obviously a Qunari sword. I believe Sten says in Origins that each Qunari soldier is issued a sword and then they consider it a part of them, doesn't he? So, I think they are basically standard issue. I wondered, mostly, if the one Iron Bull carries is sort of his last connection with the Qun.

If Bull has his own version of Sten's sword "Asala" I wonder what it's name will be. It would be an interesting way to introduce more personal aspects of the character. Or maybe he just calls it Mr. Pointy.

Do you think Iron Bull still considers his weapon to be a part of him, the way Sten did in DA:O? Do you think that's why he still has it, despite apparently leaving the Qunari as a philosophy?

Could go either way in my opinion, either it's hinting at Iron Bull's past or it's just a common qunari weapon design.

Makes ya think though hey.

Hehe, yes, it was probably an F!Quizzy. I do try to stay gender-neutral most of the time, but sometimes the comedic possibilities drive me to write what I  know.

Yeah, I was wondering that too. Considering that a Qun!Quizzy would be Vashoth, I wonder if they would know basic Qunlat or not. There's also the little issue of the player not knowing Qunlat, so having the option to say something would require a translation or explanation of some kind. Not all of us are dedicated enough to read up on this stuff, after all.
