Lots of discussion today...love it!

Everyone has pretty much said how I already feel so my response won't be long: the BDSM is touched upon but not as explicit as it could have been & that's definitely for the best given the amount of grief the current hints get, the romance writing is a bit lacking sometimes but *shrug*, some do paint Bull's romance in a terrible light thanks to 50SOG  <_< & some of the other reasons confuse me but to each their own, I perceive Adoribull's situation as Dorian needing to know he doesn't have to be a secret & can openly/publicly be in lust/like/love with a man but the writers could have handled it better [nobody's delicate flower for sure], it's okay if folks don't like his romance because that's just more Bull for the Bull Riders, my original comment described a Tuesday night for some folks I know...a romantic evening? oh boy  ;) , AND everyone's allowed to have their opinions!

Have some Bull (and a little Adoribull too) everyone! (spoilered for size) And if they've been posted before, forgive me

Oh, after the day I've had at work you have no idea how much I needed this. ♥ It was absolutely perfect! Iron Bull teaching a mabari pup how to play cards is the best remedy for absolutely any ailment. <3

Mengor, I intend to go through that scene soon (Whenever I do Adamant and actually trigger it, ahaha.) But when I do I will be using flycam for it so I'll share screenshots then once I do! :D

Aw, thank you! It was really fun to write. I have plans for a scene with Atashi and each major character in the Inquisition, but that will have to wait a bit while I get ideas. ( I just know I'm misusing that word as his name, but it seems that Qunlat hasn't been developed enough to include grammar, so it shall stay until I learn otherwise)

Mengor, I had the same problem when taking screens of that scene. Bull makes a lot of faces that look really strange if you catch them at the right moment. And I've had a little too much fun with flycam and his romance scenes. FYI, the canopy bed really screws that scene up. All you get is this red blur.

Yeah, as much as I love it because 4 poster bed and all the obvious uses that comes with, but still end up using the Orlais III bed because of that haha.

It does seem like Bull's bed of choice, doesn't it? Not to mention it is one of the bigger ones. My qunari looks ridiculous next to some of the others.

I love the four poster bed but it does not love Qunari in love scenes. I had to redo my Sera love scene thanks to awful clipping of my quizzy (it looked like she was a part of the bed). I chose the Orlais 2 or 3 bed (the one with the sheets hanging off) for Sera and Kamaria and the Dwarven bed for Bull and Alcina.
Now I'm a fan of the Dwarven bed for everyone.

Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
Is it intentionally dark like that??? That just reaffirms my decision to keep Krem and crew. That Qun card makes me a little uneasy.

All the non-friendship ones are like that I believe but yeah.

Also, in the game; you know however one attacks Bull if you choose the Alliance over his men? Um, isn't it the Inquisitor who had the final say? Otherwise I'm very sure Bull would have saved his men if it wasn't for that order.

I think Iron Bull was having a total crisis of faith, teetering on the edge one way of another. Yes, the Inquisitor told him what to do, but I think it was just the equivalent of a butterfly landing on one side or another. Iron Bull was the one who blew the horn, he was the one who made the decision.

But yeaaah.....I'm grabbing on to that man and never letting go. The Qun can't have Iron Bull. >:|

He was clearly having a crisis of faith before the mission started too. He mentioned his uneasiness at the Qunari being so close. I honestly think he would have chose the Chargers even if the Inquisitor couldn't intervene and make that decision for all of them. I feel like he would have weighed the cost and saw a better existence being more than a role so he would have chose his family. But that's how I see it.

I just can't with that option for the alliance. I no longer need to see the other option. The Qunari have many other Hissrad. I'll keep my Iron Bull and wouldn't have it any other way.

Agreed. Bull doesn't introduce himself as Hissrad, even after he tells you that he's a spy. I think that speaks a great deal for how he sees himself. If the Iron Bull was simply a role the Qun put him in, why doesn't he at least mention his title? His name means something to him. He chose it, he's proud of it when you ask him about how he got that name, and that's who he is.

I will say it's odd that none of the companions mention the Inquisitor's role in all of it. Why don't they confront the quizzy like they confront Bull? Companions should have been able to grill quizzy about the deaths too. I think some would have left too like maybe Cole, Sera, or Dorian. Just one of those things that gets glossed over I suppose.
Quite a bit of that *shrug*

That's really what I meant about why is Bull get all the lash out when the Inquisitor is just as guilty. He/she gives the final say. If you're telling Bull to stand down from calling his men off, then yeah, you're just as much to blame for their deaths.

Don't know, just something that always bothered me.

Maybe not leave, but a drop in approval for sure.

Yeah, Bull giving you approval for standing by while his men are slaughtered kinda sucks. I get that you've 'shown him who he really is' or whatever, but geez.  Maybe it's because if you sacrifice the Chargers, you're kind of acting like qunari? The Qun doesn't care about a bunch of bas - they don't even care about their own people as individuals. The mission depended on the Chargers holding that hill, end of story.  And really, from a purely tactical standpoint, sacrificing the Chargers is a sound decision. One I will never, ever make, but there's probably a reason I'm not in charge of making these kinds of decisions in RL.

As far as the Inquisition goes, Quizzy is in charge, and all decisions, including the one where you give the order for the Chargers to retreat or hold their position, should be laid at his/her feet. That's the way it should be, but I understand why people would be upset.

Bull could have argued either way, but he didn't, and I imagine that's where the companions are coming from. Some of them, particularly Solas, don't seem to see a lot of gray if they think they're right about something. The Ben-Hassrath sending people after Bull also makes sense, if he called the retreat. He followed the order of a bas (remember, that means trash) when his loyalty should have been to the Qun. Quizzy is a just an ignorant outsider, after all. I can see where the BH would pin that one completely on Bull.

Edit: And I apologize for rambling on.  It's late here, and I tend to get over-excited when I'm tired lol.

Usually it's only really easy to quote one person at a time, by hitting the quote button at the bottom of their posts.

....So I've been writing a lot on Requisitioned trying to get it done, but last night I got hit with a dream that knocked me flat. It was so....gut-punch.

It started out in my dream as Tal-Vashoth Iron Bull and my current Lavellan series, but I don't think I could actually pull it off. Maybe an AU where he stayed loyal to the Qun? Or...just stick with the original dream and make it all the more painful.

What if Iron Bull was just really good at his job? And when orders come to capture the Inquisitor and bring him back to Par Vollen, he does it?

It started out with Lavellan and Bull just going out together because Iron Bull wanted Lavellan to come with him while he met up with an old friend or something. A day or two in, Lavellan realizes they aren't really headed towards any town. Keeps quiet because it's Iron Bull and he's his Kadan, and that's just crazy.

Then notices a little later that an Inquisition scout is watching them. But Iron Bull notices too, and a little later Iron Bull dissapears for a few minutes, returns to their little camp like everythings normal, but the Inquisitor knows the scout isn't watching them anymore and his big qunari lover who he's cuddled into isn't fighting for the same team anymore. And because Iron Bull can read him like an open book, as soon as he figures it out, Iron Bull knows.

"So where are you taking me, really?"

"Par Vollen."

"If I don't want to go? If I want to go back to Skyhold?"

"We're not going back to Skyhold."

"So I'm your prisoner then."

"If that's what you want, Kadan."

;_; There were so many feels and so much angst and pain and suffering and arrghhhh. I need to write this someday. Someday.

Which browser are you using? IIRC, Internet Explorer had an issue with that, but I'm not sure which version of it. Maybe others, too. I'd suggest trying a different browser, and see if that helps. ;)
