Tumblr is a great source of Iron Bull and fandom content and I've made some great friends there. But there is a very...interesting side to it too. I'm pretty sure you can go into the Iron Bull critical tag and read about how Iron Bull is a rapist and an abuser etc etc, despite literally everything known about his character.

Nope, Sweetea posted that one. Most of my experience with Tumblr comes from this thread. That place has a way of making me rage, so I just wait for the good stuff to make its way here

Tumblr is a great source of Iron Bull and fandom content and I've made some great friends there. But there is a very...interesting side to it too. Yeah, I've seen those. Talk about ridiculous; someone actually argued that Vivienne's portrayal was racist and then used the fact that you couldn't romance her as proof. Seriously.

 

Back to The Iron Bull though; is it me or is the black box in that image of his model conspicuously elongated? That's downright scary.

I just laugh it off and go back to fetishizing qunari and elves and lots of rope and leather instead.

That's cool. The only time I ever cringe is when they write romance scenes badly. Like I'd read a few and it would become apparent that they honestly had zero experience with the *ahem subject.

But Qunari and elf pairings seem to be very popular.

Yeaaaah, I'm partial to elves due to the fact that I've played one in every dragon age game I could, always totally loved them. So when I get the chance to pair them with Iron Bull and all dat delicious size difference? That's pretty much a no brainer. >.>

 

I can honestly say I'm down with Iron Bull with any race though, I'm realllly not partial when it comes to that man. Adoribull and Lavellan are my favorite pairings though. And of course, delicious Iron Bull x Dorian x Lavellan OT3 which is going to kill me before I'm done writing it but I will enjoy every second of it.

 

I put a great deal of effort into trying to portray the lifestyle properly/respectfully because I really do love it to pieces~ I had gotten nothing but good reviews about my BDSM writing until Redemption finished, and despite the fact I recieved overwhelmingly positive feedback on the third chapter, the fact that it actually involved flogging and some pain play made my Tumblr inbox suffer a few times. But really, anyone who says that BDSM is abuse is just so god awfully uninformed I didn't even bother trying to argue back with them. There's just literally nothing you can say that they'll be able to understand.

I don't see him with Adaar that much neither. Mostly Lavellan's take over the pairing/shipping space (other than Dorian). I would think Dwarves paired with him would be more popular though cause the whole Big guy, small girl/guy trope.

I've been thinking of making a dwarf for the size difference. I saw a screenshot where someone used flycam on that balcony scene with their dwarf and Bull and she was standing on a box. I laughed longer than I probably should have.
