I played around with flycam today and I found out that bull made the saddest puppy face during Demands of the Qun

Hello, quick question about Iron Bull's romance.

 

Is it possible to start his romance before you go into the fade?

 

The reason I ask is that in my last play through Dorian gave me romance talks when we got back, and I was hoping for the same with IB, but his romance hasn't initiated yet and I am about to head off to do it.

 

Does anyone know what the earliest possible romance start for him is?

Sure. I always begin his romance before going to the fade. In fact, after the fade I kill the dragon. That way I can chain 3 cutscenes with him. Have some separate saved games. Just in case . So yeah, earliest would be before going to the fade. I dont remember the exact order of things I did, but by the time I was in Skyhold, I had a lot of Bull approval. (I know his weak points    )

 

Now...My question would be all the opposite: Can I begin Bull´s romance after going to the fade & Winter Palace events? Would I miss cutscenes?

Ahh guess I need to hold off going into the fade and get some more approval with him to start the romance. Don't wanna miss out on the cut scene when we get back from the fade

No, he doesn't unfortunately. I think it looks like that because of the dim light in that scene.

If it was possible to edit the eye textures only for the inquisitor that would be the first thing I would do to be honest.

I'm not certain, but you might miss the balcony/dance thing at the Winter Palace if you wait on the romance. I've usually already started the romance by that point so I'm not sure. The one time I didn't romance Bull, I was already locked in with Cullen. I don't recall a romance scene during the Fade, just the one where you hit him with a stick after, and I think that happens regardless.

My mind is overflowing with fic and art ideas! I wish I had an artist friend. I want so much Bull stuff drawn up. I had 3 fic ideas come to me this morning for my modern AU Cadash/Bull. The creative juices are flowing!

For sure, you will miss the dance scene at Halamshiral. I've been pacing my romances more slowly after my first playthrough, and I've learned a few things about each romance since then. To have that dance scene with IB, you have to lock in the romance with him first.

For me personally, I had to get enough approval to trigger his personal quest to kill or save the Chargers.

 

Then, Bull asked if I wanted to "ride the Bull." I confirmed.

 

Bull and I then had to discuss our relationship and lay the ground rules for a BDSM relationship. I could not dance at Halamshiral with Bull until I triggered this scene.

 

Strangely, I did not have to lock in the romance with Blackwall to dance with him at the ball. I "soft" locked him while triggering the scene where we walk the ramparts, but I did not yet trigger the kiss scene in the inquisitor's bedroom which is where the game confirms via dialogue wheel that you want to "commit" to Blackwall. That scene triggered after the dance. I'm trying to save Blackwall's big reveal until after the Arbor Wild's quest to see what may be different.

 

You will miss some plot-based scenes by not confirming some romances early, but you can trigger any romance at any time, provided your character is not already in a relationship.

I've decided that Iron Bull will get his favourite colour by giving him Dawnstone Armour as his end game gear. It may be Pink but it's pretty and you will be killed by a pretty raging Bull.  Or an Adaar.

I was expecting much more information about Par-Vollen, Iron Bull, Tal-Vashoth and every member of the chargers...Ughh...This means basically I´ll have to head-cannon much more things than I imagined in my 3rd history...Hey even a writer´s imagination has its limits lol. Maybe you guys can help me with something...

Grim is actually a god. He uses his power over sorrow to make everyone feel grim about stuff and beats people to death with his staf.... stabbing stick of sorrows.

I'm pretty sure in game Grimm is a 2H warrior, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I just seem to recall him having a sword on his back during the cut scenes where you see them in combat.

He could be a two handed warrior or could be another Mage. I mean, Dalish is a m.... archer that uses a massive bow with a crystal ontop. Grim could be using a dwarven staff disguised as a two handed sword. Or he is the King of Antiva and i owe Carroll a lot of cookies.
