Remember one of the first off screenshots and concept art of IB? It said: friend or enemy?
Maybe at first IB will be our rival but with help of friendship, love and luck he will take our side?
I just can imagine my Kossith Inquisitor and IB literally headbutting with each other in a fight and months later sharing a kiss. That would be hilarious

I've heard that some of the romances will be more antagonistic than others, though I hadn't heard anything about out and out enemy LI's.
Out of the companions, Iron Bull certainly fits that mold the best, from what we know.

Yeah. He can actually tells us about romance and affection in qunari society. Or about the lack of it. And put the end to all arguments whether qunari affection can be romantic even if asexual or purely friendshipeyI just hope he's a LI full stop.

Antagonism, hmmm?
Quizzy: *crosses arms* Cute little stunt there, Bull, breaking rank to go off on your own.
Iron Bull: *smirks* Oh, you thought so, too? I do try for cute.
Quizzy: *frustrated growl* This is not your band of mercenaries, my friend. If you're just going to go against every damned thing I say and endanger everyone in the party by trashing all of our strategies, why the Flames are you still here?!
IB: *feigns deep thought* Hm, how does it go... 'the enemy of my enemy' or something like that. And don't forget, you do pay me to be here.
Quizzy: Which is why I figured you would be a little less of a brutish imbecile about rendering the service! *mutters* And in this case, the enemy of my enemy is a pain in my ass.
IB: *snorts* You wish, Inquisitor.
Quizzy: *annoyed eye-twitch* Sorry to disappoint you, Ox, but I don't go for tall, dark and obnoxious. Do not disobey my orders again, or you will get far worse than a stern talking-to. *turns heel and walks away*
IB: *watches with more than passing interest*
Varric: ... Are you sure you're not the one wishing, Big Guy?
IB: *startles* How many times have I told you to stop doing that, dwarf?! Do you just make a hobby of eavesdropping!?
Varric: *shrugs and smirks* Force of habit. And, as this little venture has revealed, it seems to turn up the darnedest little tidbits of interesting information.
IB: *nervous* I, uh, don't think the Inquisitor needs to know about this. Seems... irrelevant, don't you think?
Varric: Mm.
IB: So you're... not going to mention this, yeah?
Varric: *examines gloves* Sure, sure.
IB: *narrows eyes* ... I have a sword. It could probably cut you in half.
Varric: *buffs glove on his coat* And with my dying breath, I can let the Inquisitor know how often you've been staring at her ass and let you deal with that. Let's see how useful your sword is then.
IB: *shudders* Uh, n-never mind, my dwarven friend.
Varric: *chuckles* Thought so. Now, about who's buying drinks later...
IB: *frustrated groan*

Lol. That works so well. Fits Varric and how I imagine IB to be so well.
On a side note my phone wanted to auto correct Varric into Barricade.

Was it bioware that said something about antagonistic romance? Because I know there was an article that misinterpreted something from Lady Insanity's PAX summary about romances that was similar. Which makes me sad because I never realized I wanted an antagonistic IB romance.
I remember Lady Insanity's correction to that article, actually. I think she said she was using those terms in general reference to types of possible romances/relationships, rather than referring to specific romances in Inquisition.
Me, I'm a complete sucker for a well-written antagonistic romance, if it wasn't completely obvious already. The potential snark and belligerent/unresolved tension involved in that kind of relationship are most exciting. It's the whole reason that I so enjoyed rivalmancing Fenris in DA:II (and only Fenris, oddly enough. It didn't feel right trying to rivalmance any of the others.).

I thought it was more that we weren't having romances with tones like how it was in 2. I took it as they'd be more like origins where there's a set path or maybe overtone, especially since I heard there's no rivalry/friendship points like in previous games. I could be wrong though. We could still have something antagonistic with that approach though.I remember Lady Insanity's correction to that article, actually. I'm not opposed to that. But, my heart might melt if he turns out to be a gentle romantic softie.

As much as I would adore a romantically soft iron Bull, I'm interested in his interactions with the other companions, especially Vivienne. I know I'm opening myself up for heartbreak but I want them to be the best of bros.

I'm afraid that would leave Vivienne feeling quite inadequate.
