So Eggplantred. I am curious about one thing. In your modern version fic. How is Bull like?

No weapons when Bull is giving them their instructions during Demands, but through the quest, Bull says something like, "You see them down there fighting?" I remember figuring who was who, and there was one guy in heavy armor with a 2H sword, and I figured out that he could only be Grimm because everyone else was accounted for? I might have a bad memory on this one haha.

 

Krem says that Grimm is a front liner though, so it would make sense. Maybe he's something ballin', like a 2H sword Champion or something.

So in my AU he's human. I didn't set out to make him human, I just wanted to capture his Bull essence. Someone brought up my lack of mentioning horns so thanks to my oversight there are no horns (although you could picture him as a hornless Qunari for the fic). Main thing is I wasn't picturing race at all when I was writing, just Bull's bull-ness for the most part.

My modern Bull is reminiscent of Jason Momoa (with a slightly darker skin tone though):
full, thick beard (not long)
hazel green eyes
curly/wavy medium length jet black hair (grazes his shoulders and makes the cutest little bun)
industrial piercing in left ear (the bar is a dragon or axe depending on his mood)
2-inch scar across his left eye (hadn't worked out losing his eye in this canon so I settled on a scar instead)
pierced nipples (bars of course)
7 feet tall
thick/muscular build (similar to in-game body but a tiny bit more muscular)
longhorns tattoo covering most of his back
two Polynesian/Samoan style half sleeves
A shibari bound heart tattoo on his chest (with Alcina's name woven into the rope)

OMG that would be awesome. Grim as a champion warrior....that secretly has a nation waiting for him to return.

Guys one question.

 

When beginning Iron Bull´s quest. And he informs Quizzy about it. He doesn´t look that...enthusiastic. Is it due to the risks involved in the operation? Or perhaps is that Bull isn´t really 100% agree with the Qun? I might have missed that part of the dialogue. But yeah I got curious.

I think it's reminding Bull of what his job is supposed to be and that his time as THE Iron Bull could end soon. He does admit that the Ben Hassarath sent him to Orlais because he was too big to fix during some banter.  It could also be that Bull prefers spying in Orlais instead of patrolling the streets of Seheron and who would blame him? Sure, you have the game and a bunch of stinky cheese but that's it. Seheron is **** central and is still being fought over. Although i suspect the Antaam are not really pushing and just using it as training against the vints.

I think most people (including me) touched on this before but: Bull as said tons of times in the game that he doesn't always agree with the Qun. Not down right; but he has his moments with other members of your team.

 

Not only that: he built a life for himself outside the Qun. He formed a family with his merc gang, he has friends who care deeply for him and depending on your choices; he can end up with the Inquisitor or Dorian. He knows if the Qunari invade, all those things that he cares deeply about or like outside his home land would be destroyed and vanish. 

 

Bull in the beginning of the game is pretty much heading in becoming Tal-Vashoth but in name, and if you choose to save his men over the dreadnought where he becomes Tal-Vashoth for real: he's more honest with himself  and while he's scared that he'll fall into madness without the Qun, he'll prove those who say he will work and live a happier life.

Not counting a quizzy, I've only seen Bull and the Katari from MP. I don't always pay attention to the NPCs at Skyhold though.

Guys!! Last night after reading more WOT. I had all these weird theories with my pillow again.

 

Turns out I covered the part of the Arishok...And I found how he got his status (Didn´t know

 were involved in that too )...So...What if in the next Dragon Age Bull would have been the next one, sacrificing the chargers? Like..."Oh Bull you were loyal to the Qun blablabla, now you will be next one". After all they will have to choose another one. Right? Again...that means according to him that he would have to leave the Inquisiton. But I wonder...What do you think?

 

From Bioware I can expect anything  . For example I got surprised that

Aaaaand. How are your fics going guys ? Still writing the 1st chapter However. I haven´t considered how much Smut I want to include this time. Comparing my two histories for some reason people love the 1st one more. Does it mean I included to much explicit content in the last one xD? But isn´t sex an important factor? C: Or maybe people prefer just romance rather than porn xD? 

 

Oh! I know. I can write the history without X-rated content and then once I have a decent number of hits I could release all the Smut. (I know I know. That would be cheating lol    ) Romance vs Sex. I can´t decide. Well I don´t know. We´ll see haha.

Bull is far too big to be using a shield but Krem benefits from his training. That and everyone would run away if Bull turned up with a Bullish Shield and Bull's Edge.

 

I like to think that the Inquisitor boasts about having a horde of rampaging Qunari in their employ when they are drunk or looks after them if they pass out.

 

Inqusitior:Scr...screw you, i have THE iron ****** dog in my employ.

Bull:Bull, Boss.

Inquisitor: Excatly, you are speaking bull. Isn;t that right, iron duck.

Bull: You've had enough to drink boss.

Inquisitor: I'm the godfan inquisthingy, i tell you when i'm done drin... *passes out*

I do wish that we could craft Bull's edge as i would love to use that as his end game weapon without nerfing him to the point where he is just a giant meat shield.

I am a bit frustrated because having sacrificed the Chargers, The Bull sounded like he'd be leaving at the end (must put to work some Tevinter magic and go change the past one of these days, ahem).

In a non-related note, the other day I read a fic about Iron Bull and a Mage Inquisitor that I liked, except for the fact that the name given to the Inquisitor by the author was the name of a coworker close to me. I just could not finish because of the name.

 

Since we are good friends, I told him about it. He suggested that I copy the content of the fic, paste it into a text editor and change the name of the Inquisitor to something else (he suggested the name Adrian for some unknown reason) in order to finish reading it in peace.

 

Then he asked me for a link to the fic and the next day he confessed he had read some pages "until it got too X-rated", and that he had told a friend of his that "he" starred in an M/M Dragon Age fic. He is also interested in playing now, LOL.

Has anyone thought of how a possible 'so we're really a thing huh?' talk would go with Bull (and your quizzy, Dorian, OT3, etc.)?

Honestly I haven't thought of one for Alcina and Bull, not that they need one. They did their 'ok I care more than I thought I did so I'll tell you' talk but no real discussion of being something definitive. I think they've just settled into a groove. He already says he's not doing anyone else while he and your quizzy are hooking up.

I'm not sure how I'll approach it in my OT3 yet when I eventually write it.

Bull: Oh this, boss? It's the new armour that we found. I'll admit, mud is the last thing i would use but it's surprisingly tough and shows off my rippling muscles.
