Just played my game with Hawke who romanced blondie, and blondie survived and i think that is exactly what we will get in da4 for The Iron Bull. Just a brief mention. There's more romance-specific content for Bull than just the sex toy convo, right? With the other characters the first conversation has been the major one in terms of containing romance stuff, but I was a little bit disappointed when the convo with bull pretty much was "I want to be cuffed and clamped". He at least comments on the stuff with your hand later on, right? 

 

Also, what do I have to have done in order for him to not betray me? I saved the Chargers, but I can't recall what I told him in the Tal'Vashoth situation afterwards. I really don't want to play through most of the DLC only to have him skewered, or to finish it and realize that all I got that was unique compared to previous playthroughs was some talk about how to cuff it and clamp it

Are there alternative variations when romanced? The Wiki only states that he goes back to be with the chargers but how is he and the inquisitor depending on the Inquisition's fate chantry/disband? What about joining Sera as a Jenny?

There is a few words switched around for disbanded/kept (which sucks) and an extra slide mentioning the necklace for romance. I like the bullmance but we really got screwed when it came to romance content.

Can´t agree more man. My only chance now is my Tal-vashoth Adaar. I hope I can see something else :S. Apart from that...

 

Dorian is gone, cole is gone, I punched Solas thanks to the option you can choose in the custom difficulty settings. I am pissing off everyone and wreaking havoc xD (Execept my sweet and big bara boyfriend C:) I am on a row !! Time to cover Bull´s personal quest ;D.

 

In the end (well this may change if I see something more significant in the 2nd pt) I think I was too too generous with my score for the DLC.

Last night I continued thinking with my pillow about the overall unfair result of Trespasser concerning Bull-Quizzy relationship. There are things I just don´t get, and I won´t get probably. The more I think about it, my rage keeps growing. Just the fact of watching in the last cutscene how Bull approaches to you and says nothing it gave me a crystal clear message. And I am sorry if this sounds rude but thats what I think: laziness, yup you guys are reading right. Bioware what happened here? Could you please tell me? Yeah yeah save your AdoriBull reasons because that won´t work with me. 

 

Do I have to remind you guys, devs and so on, that the one who was IN PERIL is the Inquisitor due to the dammed mark, and as a result he/she should have received a stronger emotional charge? Come on its way too obvious... Thank goodness that at least devs added that couple of fluffy lines when the mark is getting way too unstable...Geez...Besides, not a single lovely comment from Bull concerned about the Inquisitor´s arm? Do you guys understand what I mean?

As for the dialogue in which IB accepts to marry Quizzy. Great! Yes! But instead of a single dialogue carry that to some cutscene...something romantic...Even Vivienne invited me to a beauty treatment wtf...Yeah the cutscene about IB´s birthday its ok...but I don´t know at the same time is kinda "meh".

 

A final point that I would like to cover is. Am I the only one that found the release of Trespasser kinda quick? Why the hurry? I strongly reckon that they rushed things, which is a pity.

Bioware for the next one: you guys can´t make a great core game and leave the final kinda unpolished. The end is way to important...whether if we are talking about of a game/novel/movie.

My overall score decreases to 4,9/10. I am sorry but...I am not satisfied with Tresppaser. I am not asking for sex cutscenes: you guys had the potential to make charming scenes with Iron Bull in such an important DLC, and you guys didn´t. That´s my opinion. All this said to encourage you devs, seriously. I hope you guys keep in mind the opinion of players for future games.

They shouldn't have to headcanon since a couple other LIs actually got the content. Marriage content should have been available as an option for all LIs.

I wouldn't want that. Partially for the reasons other people mentioned (it's inappropriate for a non-Andrastrean couple, it doesn't work for every romance), and partly because that's just not what everyone wants out of a romance. And since we're dealing with limited resources, an "optional" marriage scene offered for every single LI would mean that either the marriage scene would have to be cookie cutter (i.e. exactly the same for every couple, with characters swapped out) or something else would have to be sacrificed instead. I think making every romance lead to marriage reduces the impact of those that do have marriages, while wedging all players into the same kind of ending.

 

I would have rather had a special romance cutscene with IB that suited his character more. Like having a party with the Chargers, or something. But barring that, I would have liked the marriage conversation to have more dialogue, so we could actually discuss our feelings on it with him and confirm either way whether that's really what we want to do. And maybe, just maybe, something more than just "he carried around your necklace" in the post-game slides.

You basically get just one other conversation with him. Otherwise, you get some party dialogue. No special cutscenes. Sigh.

I guess I'm still the only one who is ridiculously happy with Tespasser and all the Iron Bull content we got. We know how loyal our big bara boyfriend is and how much he wanted to stay at our side from the end of Inquisition, and then Trespasser was nothing but one big display of how loudly Iron Bull professes his affections for the Inquisitor, how absolutely zero shame he has for it, and how comfortable they are together. They spent the last two years snogging non stop in creative ways, and now they look towards the future with the Inquisitor making some serious plans against all the massive amount of **** that's about to go down, and Iron Bull at their side with his Chargers right behind.

Idunno, we got lots of I love you's and stuff out of the DLC, so that was really good for me. It really fit in with how I think the two would react to all the other holy crap what's going on oh my god etc that happened in it. Idunno, I have such strong head canons now, I guess I was just thrilled when the DLC basically confirmed them all and that was good enough for me, haha.

I saw how Qun!Bull turns on the Inquisitor without batting an eye- even if romanced- on Youtube. It was disturbing as hell, all the more so because I really hate the Qun.

The fact that he apparently has all the same lines and scenes as Tal-Vashoth!Bull makes it even worse. I like to think that this was due to resources, since they didn't or couldn't make a completely different set of lines and scenes for Qun-Bull. And I suspect that few people sacrificed the Chargers, making it even less likely to devote resources into content that few would experience.

But looking at it from a lore perspective, Qamek is a powerful substance that we know practically nothing about. I used to think that it was possibly lyrium, but Trespasser showed that Qunari did not make use of lyrium until they started mining it in the DLC. Bull likely went off to get "fixed" with Qamek during the interim, which wiped him of all those pesky feels that got in the way of doing the will of the Qun without preventing him from utilizing his Ben-Hasrath training so that he could still pull off a flawless ruse.

If still a Qunari, Bull does not have the confidence to continue living the way he has been while with the Inquisitor. He still felt that he needed to be "fixed."

Thank goodness that the option to give him a better life as a free-thinking individual exists, and the fact that it is tied to the easy choice of keeping the Chargers alive is just gravy.

Bull mentions you'd have a handler to make sure you didn't crap your pants when you talk to him about it at Haven, so it doesn't seem like they did that to him. That being said, he also talks about how easy it is to change someone's entire perspective through brainwashing, and Bull was probably more than willing to be brainwashed once he got back home.

 Nope, I loved it! I'm not saying I would have turned down more, 'cause who does that? But I'm totally satisfied with what we got. At most, I would have liked a smoother transition to what happened at the end instead of the fade to black, 'what's missing from this picture?' we got, but really, no complaints with the romance content.

No marriage scene, but you can throw the idea at him. He says that he doesn't need marriage, but if your Inquisitor wants it, he wouldn't be opposed to it someday.

But I do think that earlier banter he gives you in haven  the one where he mentions how reeducating someone is like rewriting a book all you have to do is erase a word here and there write something in the margins and the whole out look changes is likely. A scalpel rather than a sledgehammer. Thus why there's little difference between him and Tal Vashoth bull. Just a few tweaks made his personality completely cold to Quiz but still able to fake it til he made it.

But Artificer is such a machine gun in combat I'm not even mad. *shrug* Nightmare mode team of archer Cole, S&S Bull and Vivi and we mowed through most things on nightmare. I had a harder time when I was using Solas tho because his barrier game isn't on point like Vivi's. And by god does Cole need barrier game. His AI is so dumb. I don't see how people use him as DW on higher difficulties. That was a waste of potions.

Artificer continues to be my favorite specialization. Totally worth having the same conversation with Varric 265 times.

In my first pt my party was

 

Iron Bull: main tank,

Blackwall: off tank

Varric: heavy dps dealer with daggers (Bianca sucks lol)... but very very frail to attacks, I had to revive him like 12 times when fighting a dragon omg.. xD

Quizzy: knight enchanter (even with the changes in the spirit sword I found a way to break the game ;D and refill charges quickly)

 

With this setup man...it was a breeze. So OP! And dragons fell so quickly lol

 

Now in my 2nd pt my party is:

 

Iron Bull: main tank

Cassandra: off tank

Viv: who I´ll probably control during dragon battles, just in case.

Champion Quizzy: dps

 

I still find 2-handed warriors more challenging to use safely than mages or tanks. Without guard they don´t last in battle...regardless the amount of con stat I think...
