Trespasser spoilers about a mage specialization.

Can the rift mage even use their magic anymore without the anchor? That has to suck.

You were trained in the specialization, so I'm assuming? I mean Your Trainer or whatever her name is doesn't have one when she teaches you. I haven't actually played that specialization yet, though.

So... I had heard Bull will turn on the IQ in world states if you had let the Chargers die, which I'm fine with because that makes sense to me. However, I just started the last mission on my Solasmance character and I certainly did not sacrifice the Chargers... and he still turned. Is this a bug? If it isn't any idea y'all might have about why this happens would be appreciated because it totally caught me off-guard and made me sad

The loss of the hand pretty much means that any quizzy is going to have to adjust, but I do wish they'd clarified a bit more what effects the loss of the anchor had specifically. You know, aside from it not killing you.

You have to save the Chargers if you don't want him to betray you.  If you don't do the quest at all he will still turn on you.  Saving Krem is pivotal for him to abandon the Qun altogether and become Iron Bull instead of Hissrad.

 

If you did do his quest and saved the Chargers then I would say something is for sure bugged.

She's insane because she paid the price so you don't have to. The Anchor may or may not help, but Solas doesn't really count as an argument because he didn't have any of his godly powers. Her going crazy was a side effect of more or less inventing the school of magic, not being able to perform it.

He had some of his powers just not all of them and they're severely lessened. Not gone completely. It's how he controlled the anchor at the beginning of the game and slowed it down before it swallowed the PC whole.

 

Hm...I hope so. It'd suck to have my PC lose her hand and her specialization.

I know this is the wrong thread, but I'm on my third PT of Trespasser now, and all I can say is listen to Cole. Aside from a few cute ME easter eggs, he has a lot to say about a certain elf.

If you speak to Solas, he mentions that we are using the Anchor as a catalyst to enhance our Rift Magic.

 

Post-Trespasser we probably still can perform most of the same tricks, albeit rather nerfed, since we no longer have a magical turbo-charger on hand (both figuratively and literally) to give them an extra kick in combat.

You need to find the locket behind the locked door that requires three halla statues in the servant's quarters, then show it to both Celene's representatives and Briala, for the "support Briala" option to actually work. Also, if you spare Gaspard, he just comes back to try to overthrow Celene again later.

The only thing that will get Cole's approval is reuniting Celene with Briala. I guess because their 'hurt' isn't fixed in any of the other options.

I have nothing against... more than fluff.   Pure fluff fanfics just seem so hard to find for this particular pairing, I also somewhat lost my good-ffs-finding-skills over the last few months. 

But I will definitely check this out and continue my search. Will report with my feedback/findings when I found a bunch and read them all.

Bull Trespasser things!

SO I realized when I went back through things and on my Solasmance character I actually never did do Bull's personal quest, I totally forgot I did that because every other game I saved the Chargers. So no bug there. Also I really like he shows up and betrays you even if you don't take him on the mission. I had Sera, Dorian, and Blackwall with me and their reactions were awesome. Sera was clearly surprised and pissed about it, Dorian gave out a long strain of Tevien cursing, and Blackwall was the best "well, at least he was always honest with you right from the start, I give him that much". Plus Solas mentioned it in the final dialogue which was a nice touch.

 

Anywho, I am really happy they put this option in there. Anywho, just wanted to share my thoughts after going through all that
