Hello Thread! Regarding Trespasser banter:

Can anyone tell me where exactly the banter triggers when Bull says something about the whole group being back together and you get extra companion banter if Bull and Inquisitor are in a romance? 

I mean, it does trigger at a certain point, right? My last Trespasser playthrough was kinda buggy in some parts and I just want to make sure I don't miss this. Because of reasons.

Don't have an answer for you because that will never happen in my playthroughs.   But a good question, I'd like to know that as well. 

 

Plus, this reminds me of something I've always been curious about but never found an answer to on youtube or here:

I know that if you romance him and sacrifice the chargers, you get different romance related dialogue with him during the game, can't tell him that you love him and all that. Does anyone have a youtube link or just the dialogue saved somewhere?

I only ever romance both Dorian and Bull with my Inquisitors so after I played through Trespasser for the first time with my canon Inquis (Dorian romance) I was really jealous of people that got to marry their LIs. Idk, it's just a game but I have to admit I was so damn disappointed. 
When I found out you can ask Bull about marriage but can't actually marry him... oh well! 
And I just don't understand why you can't marry him, you can mention it in the final romance scene after all. Of course the answer for this would be time and money, at least an epilog slider for this would have been nice if you actually chose the dialogue option.

I think it's in an easy to miss spot where you have the glowing banter points. During the first time you go through the Eluvians and come across the first qunari corpse, go the left and there is a glowing banter bit (and breakable boxes right next to it for secrets!). I could be wrong though.

I always try to catch 'em all pick up as many shards as I can.  I've still never opened all the damn doors, though. 

 

There are a couple of shards that I can never get, including one that's in the Forbidden Oasis. It is mildly frustrating.

I'm currently bouncing back and forth between two Inquisitors, trying to figure out which one I should stick with.

 

But anyways, I got to Bull's recruitment scene on the Storm Coast the other day, and I saw an option on the dialogue wheel that I had never seen before.

 

When presented with the final choice to recruit Bull or not, the dialogue wheel lets you hover over the choices to indicate which choice let's Bull join, and which one turns him down.

 

However, there was a third option:   "Get away from me, spy!" 

 

I have never seen that before, and hovering over it didn't indicate if it was another option to turn him down.

 

My Inquisitor was a Qunari, which I almost never play as, so maybe that is what allowed for that option? 

 

I didn't feel like being an ass to Bull, plus I already chose the "Cassandra will eat you alive if you compromise the Inquisition," line. ( I always choose that line lol).  Plus, it was late, so I didn't want to pick it only to have to end up reloading if that weird option ended up keeping him from joining.

 

Anyone know what picking that option does?

Yeah Qunari PC gets that choice. It doesn't do anything other than have the PC yell and Bull pretty much sighs says something similar to if you're not insane we have no issue. and moves the conversation along.

What I fear somehow is...that in DA4 we end sealing eluvians instead of Rifts xD? Since Solas controls all of them "and could be everywhere? Who knows...I wonder what mechanics we´ll see...

I'd hope it'd be more like past companions could be war assets so they'd each do something different. Maybe Sera could help you out with some elven servants to detect if their spies, and Bull could use his spy skills to give you certain information, and stuff like that.

 

Oh god I hope not. Though I wouldn't mind traveling throughout eluvians again. I just really don't want to deal with Solas as anyone other than the Inquisitor. Oh well.

This is a serious problem for me. Four - four! - playthroughs so far and I simply cannot not romance Bull.  Oh I've tried, believe me. But I keep seeing him there in all his horned glory, and then my Inquisitor ends up dumping whomever she's with for him. Every time. In your opinion, who is the next best choice for a romance? I've tried Sera but find her extremely temperamental and Blackwall latched on early but he's so damn self-hating it gets old, real quick. Cullen is sweet but...well, sweet. Solas is interesting but his outfit always reminds me of Bert from Sesame Street and that kills feelings dead. 

 

Nevermind. I'll just stay with Bull. 

 

As for marrying Bull, I always think something informal would be more his style. I can't imagine a posh ceremony in Orlais, for instance. And the Chargers would be there too, so you know that chaos would ensue everywhere. BW could have done something like that and it would have been golden.

I have the opposite problem... I can´t romance anybody else xD....I need his abs, his chest, his back, his party banter, his horns, Did I say I need his horns? His tattoos, His "Kadaan", everything!! /facepalm

Ha ha, thanks I think he came out pretty well.  I spent quite a while getting his proportions just right.  

 

As for marriage, IDK. My Bullmancer is content without marriage ATM. As is Bull obviously.

Well I finally did it! My first end-game (Trespasser included) with a romanced Bull. He's one of the sweetest romances ever!

I could never be what you deserve, blah blah, oh the agony!" And I was like, "Yeahhhh. Welp, I'm convinced. Seeya!" and promptly sprinted down to the tavern to see a man about getting tied up.

I love my Bull but yeah it really could XD I'd totally pull on those ears though. Same with Fenris. Damn pointy ears.

 

Yeah the Blackwallmance is not my cup of tea and that scene really was the death blow for it for me. But yeah XD

 

Nothing like doing other romances to make me value Bull more Just to appreciate the differences.
