So, hi, I’m the author of the “Riding the Iron Bull” piece linked above.
And I would like to point out that I don't hate Dorian. I actually find his character, apart from Bull, to be very well-developed and amazingly well done. I'm just not a fan of the Adoribull pairing presented by the game.
And, ever since I wrote it, I’ve had a lot of friends and readers ask me what I would want from the story so I could be okay with Adoribull. It was an idea that I couldn’t get out of my head, so I wrote an Adoribull fanfiction written from the perspective of The Iron Bull, “What You Want of Me”, as sort of a way of explaining what I was talking about from this character’s point of view.
But also, since writing the initial piece, I've been told by an embarrassing number of people that I've been unforgivably harsh on Dorian. So, in an attempt at fairsies, I also wrote “Watch Words” from Dorian’s perspective, as a kind of response to the events in the first story.
These stories are very much influenced from having watched scenes from not just the Inquisition game, but also the Tresspasser DLC as well as taking a peek at the very large, rather encyclopedic Dragon Age: The World of Thedas Volume 2 book. (I have an obsession, I know.)
They both take place after the Inquisition game and aren't related to the DLC (especially the blasphemous Bad Ending), but still take inspiration from bits from the DLC scenes.
And apologies if, in the end, my Adoribull isn’t your Adoribull, but this was my attempt to try to make Adoribull a little more adorable. At least to me. And I figured, if you enjoyed the original “Riding the Iron Bull” piece I wrote, you might be interested in seeing the evolution of that idea.

But if you want you can just recruit Codworth and tell dog to go somewhere and wait. I'd recommend Red Rocket since it's small and hard to lose him. I was sending all my companions to Sanctuary but it became a pain trying to find them and there's like 3 doggie houses for dog to hide in and he moves around and I couldn't find him forever once so forget that.
Nice! However I really want get that interesting perk in charisma tree. +15% dmg resist and moar load capacitywhen travelling forever alone? Sounds way to cool
