Iron Bull looks oddly resigned to his fate as a mount. I wonder if Banana broke him in like a stallion. ;D
After countless times of removing the Inquisitor from his shoulders, he finally accepted his fate as the Inquisitor's trusted mount.
One can only wonder why the Inquisitor chose Iron Bull instead of their majestic Unicorn as their personal mount ![]()

Lol i love that his shoulder piece looks like a saddle making it fit even more. I wish devs would see this and make some kind of inside joke in the game, even a small comment for dwarves insisting they just get on IB's shoulders if they're tired of walking

So what's our guess/thoughts on what Iron Bulls past role was in the Qun?
Maybe his role was something mundane. Or he probably became tired of his role's routine. I wish we had more info on Iron Bull so we could speculate or dissect the info we have ![]()

That would be hilarious! Maybe a comment from Iron Bull offering the dwarves a ride on his shoulder ![]()

So what's our guess/thoughts on what Iron Bulls past role was in the Qun?
I think we might have a leliana deal where we can influence whether he goes back to the qun or stays with us. When it was said that he's only afraid of his past, i thought he may have had a good friend in his squad that is now hunting him down for abandoning the Qun. Maybe he was was born into a Tal-Vashoth family that were later taken by a group of Arvaarad and mentally scarring him after narrowly escaping. Just some ideas, i mainly think that he did something that he strongly regrets, maybe forced to kill a Saarebas child?

I don't think we're going to be in for a big surprise regarding Iron Bull's role in the qun. He was a warrior; those were the skills he was raised with and those were the skills he plies outside of the qun.
I think the dark sercret, the reason he's afraid of his past, has more to do with how he left, more so than what he did before he left.

I imagine his "dark secret" is similar to Fenris's; not the "I slaughtered a bunch of people who took me in" (that's been done twice), but some sort of old shame, maybe something he had to do according to the Qun that woke up his conscience, went against his moral code. So while it liberated him, it's also something he absolutely hates having done and would prefer forgetting it's existence.

Personally it just makes more sense to me for him to be afraid of whatever he did while a Qunari that forced him leave rather than, him fearing what he did in order to leave.

Do we actually know for sure if he ever had a role?
I mean, he could have been born outside of the Qun.

Tal-Vashoth means someone who has abandoned the Qun, our character if we choose qunari is supposed to be Vashoth

Yeah i think that too, but I thought this thread needs more posts as DHMG's is ahead quite a bit now. So we need to keep the topics, discussions and pictures coming peoples.

Yeah, I agree this is close to what I think too.

Yes, so IB is Tal Vashoth - Born in but abandoned the Qun.
Your Qunari Inquisitor will be Vashoth - born outside of the qun (as in was never apart of)

I want the scene in that picture to happen in-game like you can't imagine.
I really want a scene at the camp/base or an inn where the inquisitor walks by and uses iron bull as a hat rack
I would pay extra money for a scene like that.

He may not have started out a warrior. It is possible of course, but by no means guaranteed.
A lot of the Tal Vashoth are people who were on the lower rungs of Qunari society. Because the Qun locks these people into a caste system with no room to move up the social ladder, some choose to reject the religious dogma that is holding them down. That *might* be the Iron Bull's story.
The Iron Bull might thave been born a warrior, but its also possible he could have been born a ditch digger.

Eh only thing is, look at him. The guy clearly would serve best being in the Vanguard of their army, the Qunari would see that and place him accordingly. They dont waste anything and it would be a massive waste of potential if they didnt make him a warrior.
One thing im taking into consideration is that from what we've heard, he's a jolly social drinker. I feel like someone who has spent the better part of their life in a society like the Qunari's, he'd still retain a lot of those habbits and philosophies not being as loose as he's been said to supposedly be. Imagine sten going Tal Vashoth (i know thats a hard thought) it'd be almost impossible at that point to make him view society from any other perspective except from the perspective of a Qunari, i feel like whatever happened that made him break away, happened when he was young.

So he'd been coming to the decision for a while before he left, that the thought slowly grew over time.
