I don't think that many of the people that speculate about his personality, story arc or the possibility of him being a romance believe that he'll be surely like this, though. It just seems like so many of you are setting yourselves up for disappointment. That is all.

Now, you got me imagining the Inquisitor walking down a hallway in the middle of the night and coming across IB standing perfectly still against a wall sleeping with his one eye still open. o.o

I always pictured them using the same type of "pillow" (I use that word loosely) that the geisha used to prop up their head to keep their hair intact. Not very comfortable, but effective.

My thoughts exactly.
Or they sleep side-ways which is still uncomfortable I would assume.
Or custom beds where the bed has holes for each individual horn to be inserted. But that would lack movement for body to twist turn.
Either way, the Iron Bull has some comfortable sleeping horns (more comfortable compared to the Arishok)

No surprise Arishok was so grumpy XD Even compared to other qunari

I'm not saying Patrick Weekes writes Iron Bull...
...but he sure likes this character a lot, if previously put him on his avatar and now made a LEGO thing in his honour

I hope he will be a different qunari than the few ones we encountered before, because talking to Sten felt like talking to a wall.

You just didn't know what bricks you needed to push to open this "wall" ![]()
Though be glad, for Iron Bull is "a slap in the face of typically humorless Qunari"

I think Iron Bull's going to be more the type to say "HELL NO!" instead of the traditional "No."

Sten required effort to get him to open up and become a more likeable character. Having already been described as something of a party guy, I can definitely see Iron Bull being Sten's polar opposite.
And on a different note, I don't think we have to compete with DHMG's thread. A big reason why he's being talked about so much is because he's an interesting-looking character shrouded in mystery, so there's a lot of room for fun speculation. Personally, as of now, IDGAF about him one way or another...and I have a feeling that he's not gonna be nearly the dynamic character that everyone's been hyping him up to be.
Anyway, I digress -- speaking of lack of character information, I am dying to know more about Iron Bull. His official feature cannot come soon enough.

Truth be told it doesn't much matter to me which companion thread is in the lead.
I just want to spur discussion.

Well, let's then do a little, how is it called? A little quizz? A survey? Whatever
1. What does interest you in Iron Bull?
2. What do you fear about his future chracterisation?
3. LI? Yes, no? Bi, straight, gay? If no, then should he end up with some other companion? Who?
4. IYHO, who is his writer?

1)To see how different he is from the Qunari. His past in the Qun.
2)Him joining Tevinter.
3)I don't think he'll be a LI, though I'd have no problems in romancing him (I'm more interested in the women LI because I'm straight).
4)Sheryl Chee.

1) I have a fascination with the look and behavior of the Qunari and their culture as a whole. I've been fond of them since Sten, and Act 2 of DA2 was the best act, IMO, in large part due to the Qunari conflict and the Arishok. In addition, IB is said to be an atypical Qunari in terms of personality, and a Tal-Vashoth, which we have had fleeting interaction with. And, lastly, I have a fondness for bloody, hardened veterans. Canderous remains one of my faves.
2) I'm somewhat concerned that he may be taken too far in the angst direction given his background. Plus we've had a lot of angsty characters in general.
3) Yes, please. Less humans/elves. I'm thinking bi or gay would be the most 'interesting' orientation for him, on account of being a far cry from our standard male bi/gay LIs in the past. If he gets with someone else... hmm. Vivienne, maybe. XD They both have horns, and I dunno, the thought is amusing. If he is gay, then maybe the Warden. They can be manly as **** together.
4) I have no idea.

1. His past, and particularly, his identity....and dat body
2. Nothing. I'm not worried at all
3. Yes, pretty please. Bi would be fine with me. If he had to end up with another companion...either Cullen, cause I think it'd be pretty cool, or Dorian.
4. Sheryl or Patrick, leaning more towards Patrick

1) His personality, his past, and getting a look inside the mind of a Kossith who was formerly of the Qun. Plus dat back.
2) I guess the only problem would be if they made him whine too much about his past. But that's a fear with every character.
3) YES PLZ. Would prefer straight or bi, will cry if he's gay or otherwise unavailable.
4) The past couple of pages have caused me to lean towards Patrick as his writer.

1. He's an ex-qunari, but qunari nevetheless. So much history, so much culture we don't yet know. And thanks to stupid sexy and intelligent Arishok and Sten I have have a thing for manly men... geeze, what time do we live in
2. He's either too brutal, too drunk or too foolish
3. Bi or straight. Though if he was gay I would just accept it and romance him with my male dwarf Inquisitor
4. Patrick or Mary Kirby. She specialised in qunari culture more than anyone else as far as I know
