I'd say IB vs. Vivienne. I could see her cutting barbs not really getting under his skin at all. I feel like that would frustrate her and just make IB laugh.

Spoiler
anyway...in DAO we had oghren vs the whole party really, in DAA we had oghren vs anders, in DA2 we had isabela vs aveline
Who do ya think will be Iron bull's insult banter partner? my money's on the grey warden.
A part of me thinks it'll end up like Oghren in that he won't get along with anyone for a while. His concept art has him alone, not part of the group. His scene in the trailer has him standing alone, not leading men or mourning like Cassandra and Varric. His position in the gameplay trailer has him standing apart from the rest of the group in a guarded position.
I do think he'll eventually become buddies with a few of the party members. I think the one person he's going to clash with constantly, though, is Dorian. Former Tevinter magister, former qunari soldier. Lot of potential for bad blood there.

Thanks. I do vaguely remember some of these discussions. Nice to have the reminder.

He was probably re-written by someone else.I actually hated what they did to Anders in DA2.... she probably has written Cullen for DA:I, so... eh, I am definitely not going to romance him (though I never liked him in the first place anyway)
As for the Hepler, I'll always remember her for her work on the dwarven culture and the dwarves' quests in DAO, which were my favourite parts of DAO.

Qunari don't really care about their horns, though. Tal-vashoth usually cut them off, and even regular qunari don't much care when they loose them in battle.
I do agree with the above poster that Iron Bull is going to be the one unphased by Vivienne's verbal jabs, but I think that might lead to an odd friendship eventually.

I'm uncertain of who he will rival, but I have a few ideas whom he might be friends with. Based on the Sera/Warden/Cassandra at the tavern concept art, it seems like Sera has a rather bawdy sense of humor that the Warden enjoys. Given IB's love of drinking, and Qunari respect for Wardens, I could see Warden/Sera/IB getting along and maybe swapping some really dirty jokes and maybe some darkly humorous stories. If this happens to be true, I definitely will travel around with those three for a good laugh.

And, of course, he's going to get along with Varric, because Varric gets along with everyone.

I was wondering the same thing as well.
Will they have finger claws or normal round fingers?
These are important questions that need answering ![]()

Yea, but if one character in DAI is going to be the polar opposite of Sebastian, it's gonna be Iron Bull.

Exactly, i liked that little touch. It separated them even more from the races while also kind of hinting even more that they're related to dragons

I don't think anyone got along with Sebastian. They tolerated him.
Except Bethany... ![]()

It must have been just me then. I still don't like him for threatening to invade Kirkwall at the end of ACT 3.
On topic: I'm interested in Iron Bull but I'm not sure if I'll have him in my party much since I feel like Cassandra would be a better tank. Also, I don't want him to take away my unique-ness of being a Qunari leader. :-P

That is an issue I'm having; the three characters I'm the most excited over are all warriors and I'm planning on playing a warrior myself.
Guess we're just going to have to wait and see.

I do plan on running just a full-on warrior party just to see how well (if at all) that can go ![]()

OH GOSH!
Best of luck then, especially if they limit potions like in DA2. (I think that is happening?)

Warden-S&S
Cassandra-S&S
IB-2handed
Qun Inq-2handed
Sounds like a great idea

I'm given to understand that single class parties will be a particularly bad idea this go round.
So I'm probably going to be rotating them out a lot. Thankfully we're supposed to have a lot of side quests this time round.

Depending on the story I want to tell or the companion I'm particularly interested in, I tend to carry the same group around the whole game in DAO. In DA2 I'm manipulating the friendship/rivalry scale.
Currently, I plan to start out with keeping Varric and Iron Bull around. A lot. Haven't decided anyone else, maybe Cassandra since this is her mission...
