It'd hardly be the first time someone took something I said and assumed it confirmed something else entirely!

So, gay LI, then?  ;D

I like the hypothesis someone had where the Qunari had skin like a rhino, so basically their skin is an armor.

It would be cool but i dont see why he in particular would have tough skin rather than all qunari

I'm not sure I can link this video here. Just search on youtube "Rhino euthanized." That shows how machete-proof rhino skin is...

The problem is that skin must be soft, because it must bend and twist.

Yay! Iron Bull for gay LI! You heard it here folks!

Or maybe we accidently stumbled across a piece of unrelated info, like he likes sweet fruit the way Sten likes cookies, but I like the whole gay confirmation thing better.

Or it could mean that Iron Bull likes Bananas and we find out that the Inquisitor is 1/3 Banana from their mother's side.

Either gender can romance him if they are part Banana  ;)

I'm hoping that all armor morphs to leave the Iron bull bare-chested. I like the whole one shoulder piece, bare chest armor thing he has. I look forward to having him have a big shoulder piece and a bare chest.

And what a delicious chest it is.

I just like the barbarian feel it gives him.

Not enough barbarians in DAI.

I wonder if we could remove Iron Bull's armor and put it on the Inquisitor.

(Seeing him in his small clothes in battle would be an amazing sight as well...)

I doubt it's possible to wear the iconic armor of the companions but it would be cool to have a similar armor style to Iron Bull for the Qunari.

I really dig his and other companions armor ^_^

I mean all Qunari, thus why the warriors in DA2 and the comics don't wear much armor either.

i ignored that as being both an engine limitation and the fact that their ship went down with most of their equipment. Mainly an engine limitation though.

I think it depends we can to be honest, it may change a lot for other races besides qunari though.

And what of those in the comics?

I doubt the artist would design their own armor and other outfits without it being in the games, all the character designs basically were straight from the games so i dont see the qunari being any different

Well, I hope they keep their design. I like how unique it makes them feel compared to the other races who follow the same basic armor scheme.

Personally, it just throws me off how "practical" qunari life is yet they wear the most impractical outfit in thedas. Aesthetically the designs are great, but it contradicts what they stand for, which is functionality. You can do plenty with massive armor to make it stand out from other, id love to see an armor scheme that incorporates a design of overlapping plates to look like the symbol of the Qun

I forgot about that food thing!

*looks up bananas foster*

Ice cream, bananas and rum, lit on fire. Well. That sounds dangerous and exciting, with lots of clashing between the warring heat of the fire and the cold of the ice cream. Also, really sweet.

Very interesting...

Not being an artist myself, I think you could take the basic ideas behind qunari designs, the wave pattern and what not, and translate it to heavier armor.

That being said, it does make a certain sense that their armor is light; they live in the hottest areas of Thedas and their primary enemy fights by throwing fire balls; all heavy armor'll do against Tevinter mages is make a nice oven for your flesh to melt off in and make soldiers they take over through blood magic that much harder to kill when they come back at you.

In that case Templars wouldnt bother with armor. Climate wouldnt make them wear virtually no torso armor, crusaders wore armor from head to toe despite the heat. Am i asking for massive armor, no but id like to see a practical use of armor for a society that emphasizes practicality

I still find it ridiculous that according to Sten's tale their farmers wear heavy clothes just avoid bees, but their warrior go in a battle halfnaked

No one ever called Templars, or the Crusaders for that matter, particularly intelligent.

Templars wear heavy armor because they're part of a culture that fights in heavy armor as a matter of course. Every templar is a knight, and knights wear armor because that's what knights do.

Regardless, as Chari said, they're efficient. The tevinter army is not made entirely of mages, armor was worn in deserts let alone in a tropical environment. Plus it would be worse to have your bare skin roasted by fire balls then taking the chance of having enough fire heat your armor, the armor would stop fire to an extent.
