Looks like Iron Bulls eye patch is dependent on his outfit, the piece with no torso piece has no eye patch, the one seen in the latest trailer does along with having armor for the rest of his body

I've also noticed that Iron Bull is shorter than I remember him being. I mean, maybe he's further back that he appears but he seems a head or so shorter.

Much shorter, but Varric is also taller. Might be the way it was captured or maybe they're still working on their heights, probably a little of both

Well, Varric looks like he is on a stool or step since his proportions are the same. But yeah, they maybe realized Iron Bull was too tall for some doors or something.

I think it's also due to the fact that he's standing in the background, while all the other characters are more toward the foreground.

He has to be pretty far back then to shrink that much. And for a guy with one good eye, kind of defeats the purpose of looking at a map if you're going to be doing it from far away.

I think it's a combination of perspective and character placing. That and Varric is obviously standing on a box.

It doesn't look to me like he's even actively participating in the discussion -- he's just kinda looming in the background, like he's standing guard.

If you look closely, his good eye is working extra hard to see that map 

(it sorta of looks like its bulging out)

As far as I'm aware we've never seen any official art of him standing next to anyone. He's always been standing on his own. People assumed he was going to be huge because he's built like a truck, and drew him as being huge in fan art.

In the trailer the only person that reaches his shoulders is the Warden and thats with the Iron Bull standing farther back than mostly everyone else. Personally, i want him to be as big as practically possible, mechanics wise
