I do admit I occasionally worry if I've set my expectations for Iron Bull too high, but I think Bioware has it in them to turn out a great character here.

Spoiler
I saw this on a blog I follow, and I wanted to ask you guys what your opinions were on it?
I'm a pretty big Iron Bull fan myself, but I can kind of understand where this confessor is coming from (in terms of curiosity) - though I don't agree with it.
(also +1000 for that back amrite?)

Personality-wise he is also interesting. According to all info we have he is similar to Wrex and Oghren, one of my favourite characters

That's true that I am mostly interested because he is an ex-qunari. I want to know how they approach romance. Even talvashoth can tell a lot about it

This is one the main reason I'm really excited to meet Iron Bull.
Most of the Tal-vashoth that we encountered would attack us(besides Maraas)
Having a companion that is Tal-vashoth would give us a insight on how they view the world and their experiences of leaving the Qun. We could probe him with questions. Did they regret leaving the Qun? Did they have trouble assimilating outside the Qun? Do they still use Qunari proverbs after they left? What is their fave dessert? Most of those questions could possibly be answered in depth by Iron Bull...hopefully
If there is a possibility of Iron Bull being one of the LI option, it would be interesting to experience. I want to see how Iron Bull feels about intimate love since the Qun doesn't allow it(afaik). The Qunari can love but in a platonic way.
So, yeah. I would love to romance Iron Bull because: A) Seems like a chill dude
a romance that isn't human or elves and
C) Dat body

Overall, everyone has different taste and we should all be cool with that ![]()
(dat body tho)

I admit one reason I'm really looking forward to Iron Bull is that I'm glad we're getting a qunari who isn't so..uptight as most we've met. People seem to forget Stens memories of his fallen comrades in the fade had them joking and telling him to pull the stick out and enjoy himself. I'm glad we get to see more like that (not that I didn't absolutely love Sten, I did, I just think with him and the arishok and the other qunari we've met they've gained the unfortunate reputation of being far too straight laced).

I dont think his comrades should be considered canon nor a good representation of Qunari behavior, it just doesnt make sense to me how out of place their attitudes were. Then again, it could've been the demon trying to sway him into giving into the illusion, because after all he did know it was a dream.

I feel your pain, bro. At least the Iron Bull has snippets of his personality known. I know nothing about the Warden and my expectations are very high. ![]()

What? But they're his memories of them and he admits they're accurate. Why wouldn't they be canon?
Keep in mind that every qunari we've met we've met as an untrusted outsider. It makes sense that among their own squad, with people who are presumably their friends, they'd be a lot more relaxed then they ever are with our pcs.
And their attitudes aren't really out of place. I mean, a few squadmates slash friends telling him to relax a bit when they're not actively on a mission isn't really abnormal. I mean a few guys making jokes about how one losing their head wasn't a big loss, and one calling the other monkey and whining about the food isn't a sign the qun is somehow full of irresponsible layabouts.

Nvm after rewatching the dream sequence, it seems normal, i remembered it a lot differently.

While I think there are different responses depending on what you the warden said to Sten, but they're generally the same tone with one of them trying to prod and make fun of sten and the others and the other sniping at him and some back and forth.

One of the general conclusions that's been reached about the qunari is that among themselves they display more or less the full range of personalities and emotions that you'd see among any other race, but when among outsiders, they tend to be more reserved. This is largely assumed to be partly due to the language barrier; qunari value mastery of all their pursuits, and those who aren't fully comfortable speaking in a language other than qunlat might prefer to speak as little as possible.
I think one of the things that's interesting about Iron Bull is that he represents someone who has left the qun and has been outside of it for long enough to become comfortable with life and culture beyond what he was born and raised to.

Is anyone else going to take Viviennes horn hat and put it on Iron bull in hopes of giving him doublehorns?

Thats if itll still be a hat when placed on him, it may change to a headband. Hopefully it turns into horn sleeves

I know they change to adapt to who they're put on but I'm still hoping it's just double horns. He has a hat pair of horns behind/above his regular ones.

I think what would be hilarious is if trying to equip Viv's hat on Iron Bull is the only thing in the game that makes him give the traditional "No." response.
