For the guys who say IB's horns are too big:

That's a megalocerus, aka probably the largest freaking deer that lived on earth.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Iron Bull may somehow be related to the Arishok? Or maybe even Sten?

It's something I see them doing. I think it would be interesting.

It's been brought up.

Some have posited that Iron Bull was a member of Sten's group that got wiped out by the darkspawn; another survivor who decided to go his own way.

It's also been theorized that he may have been someone who was up for the position of Arishok at one point in time, or might have even been Arishok(having been the predecessor to the one seen in DA2) before going Tal-Vashoth.

I don't think Qunari are aware of relationships the way the other races are. Unless I am mistaken they raise children communally with no parent/child interaction. I don't know about their mating for reproduction purposes, its hinted they don't get married or necessarily have repeat partners for the purposes of producing children. Its more like a temporary arranged marriage. This is based off my memory of reading codex 4 years ago so take it with a grain of salt, but I think Qunari are semi-communist.

"Related" in this context doesn't necessarily have to mean blood relations; could just imply some previous working or professional relationship or other such connection.

Ahh, I see. Well Sten was working outside Qunari lands, something is no doubt rare for a 'Qunari', so if Iron Bull is a Tal-Vashoth and not a born-out-of-the-Qun Vashoth, then there is a fair likely hood. Sten had 9 (?) members of his cadre. It is entirely possible one or more survived and somehow ended up abandoning the Qun.

Yeah, I meant professionally related.

Being one of Sten's previous group would be especially cool.

Mind you both theories are baseless speculation on what's up with his past and why he fears if.

But the timeline fits.

It does indeed fit around the 10 or so years he's supposed to have been Tal-Vashoth. Which would make it even more interesting considering Sten is the new Arishok.

for some reason, i thought i read somewhere that they were all kind of connected (like kind of like the geth but not true hive mind), the reason it gave was that the arishok knew about many of his people that we killed in da 2 and even when we confronted him with some of it, he looked like he was deep in thought and then would say i know or im aware or something, kind of like he was sensing it...  i dont remember where i read this, but it stood out

I take his pause as regret for the death of his men.

Alistair and insight don't belong in the same sentence.

I'd say that, for all of Alistair's faults, and his admitted lack of intelligence, he was a pretty empathic individual.  Most of his instincts (regarding people) seemed to be right.

Seemed rather hit and miss with that, if I recall.

Been a while since I've played, though.

That's the feeling I got from him too

I kinda get the feeling they'll be a running joke where Iron Bull has trouble getting through certain doors.

Varric: It's really convenient how all these doors are wide enough for you to move through, Big Guy.

Iron Bull: They heard I was coming, and decided to accommodate me.

Varric: ...But these ruins are a thousand years old!

Iron Bull: What can I say? My reputation proceeds me.

I am really hoping Iron Bull will be at least this sassy in the game.

Sten was one of the funniest characters in DA:O, for being very blunt and acting like he had no sense of humour.

"Astonishing you've managed to get farther from the door then we were when we entered, well done"

I hope Iron Bull has a similar sense of humour as Sten
