We already killed 2 of the "forbidden ones" in each game, so there only gonna be 4 DA games?

"The first of the magus cast themselves deep in the fade in search of answers and power, always power. The found the forbidden ones -Xebenekeck, Imshael, Gaxkang the unbound, and The Formless One. Many Conversations were had and much of the fabric of the world revealed. And thus the magic of blood was born" -Unknown mage......this is from a codex. So far we've "defeated" Gaxkang, and Xebenkeck, two of their friends remain, perhaps lying dormant.

I'm asking if the number of these foes, the forbidden ones, implies the number of games bioware is going to make for dragon age. There's four of them, we defeat each in a game. We took out  gaxkang and xebenkeck, 2 others are left....these guys taught humans blood magic...there could be a huge twist at the end

Bioware has said they do not know how many DA games they will make.

Here's a hot industry tip: if a company is successful with an IP and there's a desire to make more games with it they will find a way. ;) So even were that some pivotal element in the franchise (I don't think it is) it wouldn't matter.

I believe all they said was they had ideas for five.

I've not been a fan for long so I've been brushing up on this stuff for the first time recently.

They've already got vague plans for DA5, apparently.

I assume we'll be murdering Ishmael and/or the Formless One in Inquisition, but after DA4 they'll need to find another source of hidden side bosses. Or Gaxkang and the rest could just reform themselves - imagine fighting all of them at once!

Indeed, but they said they could go much further than that if there are still stories they think are worth telling.

It could be that our warden, hawk ...(again), our Inquisitor, and "the hero after that" are unknowingly unleashing a big threat set for Dragon Age 5, since Xebenkeck and maybe Gaxkang were "released"

I highly doubt Gaxkang and Xebenkeck are of the tier of demon that would get wisped in only one defeat.

Plus I believe the 5 game model will take them to the end of the time line of the Dragon Age meaning it doesn't mean will be done with Thedas but would likely have a time skip until the next major event in Thedas which would likely be once things and technology improve and Thedas begins to explore the rest of the world.

Here is my guess: Dragon Age is Biowares darling in that they really want it to have the same kind of success that Mass Effect had, My assuption is that they do have a set number of games they would *give the chance* as such before dropping the IP.

I'm really hoping DA:I will do well to keep the series alive, it needs to after DA2's disappointment.

Yay, I've always wanted to carry a Danish icon along with my name. I just need a open sandwich and a horned helmet now to truly feel at home.

With the Veil Tear maybe we are going to encounter Formless One or Imshael
