My dad picked up the very first one when it hit the stores in 1990.  I was almost 11 when that game came out.  I've played them all except for (Japanese) 3, 8, 13 and 13-2.  Once upon a time, back when you were very little, there wasn't another RPG that held a candle to FF.  Most of the Dragon Quest games never hit the US shores, so that wasn't an option.  Even Icewind Dale was years away.  For Final Fantasy, there wasn't a better series to be compared to.

I was born on New Years Eve, '92 lol. My games when I was little were Mortal Kombat and racing on my N64/PS1

Nah.  I'm fine with being over 30.  If anything, I've been enjoying my 30s overall more than I did my 20s.
