I don't have tend to have multiple playthroughs on the go at once, so I'll just set up a new world state every time I start a new game. It's a pretty short job, really.

It's more that it upsets my perfectionism and constant pursuit of elegance than a serious objection. It's not a huge deal to swap states, though I have enough narrative dissonance from multiple saves anyway to just not be that interested if it isn't smooth.

You can make various world states, but the one you "export" is the one the game will use. It's a bit like a gun, you have your magazine full of bullets, but there's only one bullet ready to fire in the barrel.

 

And exporting doesn't overwrite the current world state, since it only exports a copy of the state.

Yeah. You can set up several states and then you just cue up the one you want. I just don't think I'll bother. I'll just set up a new one for each new game. That way I'll have the world state I want for that playthrough fresh in my mind.

So being a child of the 80s, Cat's fic made me think of this song, For obvious reasons.

 

 

So then I thought... What if Sera was a contemporary of mine? Would she have liked synthpop like I do? There were a lot of gay men involved in that kind of music, but not so many lesbians that I'm aware of. 

 

There were certainly anti-establishment politics involved. I recently watched the excellent film Pride based on the true story of the Group "Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners" who used bigoted coverage of their campaign in the national press as a catalyst for a benefit gig at which Bronski Beat played.
