It was ick, pure ick, like it was made for teenage boys, bluergh. Didn't like it at all myself.
Oh gawd... The "underwear in the shower" scene... *facepalm*

Yup.
The main reason I didn't like that romance has to do with how it felt tackled on, as if the writers just wanted to shut us up without taking into account meaning and quality. Steve's M/M romance was a lot better written than Samantha's.

The whole thing or the shower scene?
to be honest the whole game felt like that. The only positive note worthy things that happened were mordin and tali's mission.Yup.

Did we play the same game? No way it was that bad although I'll agree that they were the highlights. Anyway that discussion has been had a million times on these boards so let's not go there...

sad thing is I could've forgiven its poor writing if it wasn't for the endingDid we play the same game? No way it was that bad although I'll agree that they were the highlights. Anyway that discussion has been had a million times on these boards so let's not go there...

I keep seeing an opinion but it reads as though it's a fact. Weird.
quite weird indeedI keep seeing an opinion but it reads as though it's a fact. Weird.
As much as I already love Sera and feel excited about her, it isn't without some reservations. In particular, part of me is worried that her romance may turn out to be less than satisfactory, which would be hugely disappointing to me as she is literally one of only two characters I feel interested to start a romance with in Inquisition.
I'm hoping for the best, but I try not to hold my breath on anything.
A bisexual romance tho, another one. Sera is the first lesbian romance. The experiences are so so different. I would like to think gay women would gravitate towards a character who happens to be a gay woman too. But that's just me.
On the other hand, just because two women are gay doesn't mean they're going to be attracted to each other. If we go by looks alone, Josephine wins hands down for me over Sera.
I'm a little scared that Sera might be a 'cheap' romance, in the sense that it will only be sexual and she won't really care about us. I know it's me being pessimistic, but out of 8 possible romance paths, I don't think they are all going to end well with the two partners living happily ever after.
Or maybe my pathological fear of rejection is acting up again. Repeat the mantra: it's just a game. It's just a game. It's just a game.

It could be that way, but they kind of did that with Isabela already. I wonder if she might be all sass and front to those around but actually quite vulnerable romantically. I guess we shall see.
awww T-T. If it makes u feel better I doubt it will happen. People are quick to label sera to being sexual because of her personality but I wouldn't be surprised if she's somewhat an innocent when it comes to romanceOn the other hand, just because two women are gay doesn't mean they're going to be attracted to each other. I would say that is what I'm mostly worried about. If the whole thing proves to be about getting into each other's pants without an emotional element, I won't be pleased with it.
I know that's fine with some folks, but I'm not one of those.
lol at least we both agree on thatJinx!

Edit: p.s. Innocent doesn't mean virgin and bioware had said she won't be another isabela
Well, that's a relief because I did not like Isabela at all.

i liked isabela since I have a thing about love changing a person (though I like it better if it's a former villian)Well, that's a relief because I did not like Isabela at all.

I liked Isabela more than I initially thought I was going to, actually, but it would be dull to have a re-hash of her, and while they may have some things in common Sera really doesn't strike me as quite that type. See for example Sera's comments about the skulls and the view in today's stream. Isabela would just have been cracking wise, probably with some sex-related pun.
Wow, would hate if that happened with SeraJuhani is the first BioWare lesbian and the first lesbian in Star Wars, though apparently she was bugged and available to men before a patch. Also the romances in that game were a little vague anyway.

Joking aside, I don't think she'll be like Isabela. Neither Bull, The other apparently 'focused on sex' character.
Pff, I'm Basement Cat! Get Ceiling Cat if you want someone who follows the gospel. ![]()
What we heard in the stream today makes me kinda hopeful about Sera though. The way she talks about the ocean, she sounds like a child who is in awe, and that is very cute to me.
I'm a teacher by profession and I love learning and teaching, so when someone is curious about stuff...
The whole thing or the shower scene?
That shower scene was embarrassing, I cringed so hard when I saw it. Her romance, couldn't shake off the feel of who is this meant to appeal to really? Oh wait I know.

I would like to hope that Bioware won't give us an under-cooked first lesbian romance in DA. Sera doesn't strike me as Isabela 2.0, I'm doubtful that she is the promiscuous sort, she's high spirited and loves a laugh but I don't feel she'll care little for the Inquisitor's feelings.
