What we heard in the stream today makes me kinda hopeful about Sera though. The way she talks about the ocean, she sounds like a child who is in awe, and that is very cute to me.
Jinx!

I love Isabela and Traynor. They have their male gazey, icky points of course, but I try to ignore those.
Pff, I'm Basement Cat! Get Ceiling Cat if you want someone who follows the gospel.

I'm a teacher by profession and I love learning and teaching, so when someone is curious about stuff...

I thought Traynor was a pretty cool character in her own right. It's just her romance that I didn't care for.
I love Isabela. I don't think Sera will be like her at all though, other than being snarky they are very different.
:S am I the only one that is not worried at all about the sera romance?
I'm getting more hyped as more info is being released about her.

Male gazey? I don't see what is specifically male gazey about her tbh. All males don't like the same thing (and there are people who didn't find Isa to their tastes and that's okay).
What is male gazey about Isabela, outside The fact she's bisexual?
Being bisexual is being male gazey? ![]()

I'm pretty positive about it myself, the only fear I have (that niggly annoying doubt that I can't shake off) is the tragic lesbian romance trope. Other than that I reckon it will be very enjoyable.

Nope, I think she'll be wonderful !
I think that this by Lukas from Sera's character profile should give you hope, Cat:
“Sera is raw and genuine,” says Kristjanson. “I’ve written plenty of characters who were too clever for their own good. Sera hasn’t had to test her beliefs, so she brings a level of honest discovery that is cutting and refreshing.
Doesn't sound like Isabela at all.

I chose my words poorly, though I didn't exactly understood What you meant. I though you might not like The fact she liked men as well....bisexuality is male gazey?
I'd rather not go too much into it, not the right topic and idk if it is something that's controversial or not, but...her outfit, the focus on her sexuality to the exclusion of other things, the "wh*ore" brush the narrative paints her with without fully examining it, etc. I adore her, but there are some sketchy things there imo.

Another? You people sure seem to have plenty of time, even with all that work.
I want my Masters in teaching already...

Oh, no! I'm bisexual, so that is totally understandable to me.

Isabela sure got some painful bagage under her facade, but I tend to see Isabela primarily as a cool pirate (a bit incompetent without her ship) who choose not to dwell on it too much.
OT: I feel Sera is going to be a cool kinda questionable Robin Hood (with more to her character of course)

That's all good, I was just teasing you just misundertood eachother ![]()

I'm not worried about Sera's romance at all. I don't get any promiscuous vibes from her or anything like that. Of course, the writers might have just thrown a bit of drama in there (which romance in DAO or DA2 didn't have drama?
) but I think that it'll be pretty harmless.
And, like Tevinter Rose, I'm getting more hyped about her as time goes on. ![]()
