What we heard in the stream today makes me kinda hopeful about Sera though. The way she talks about the ocean, she sounds like a child who is in awe, and that is very cute to me.

I'm a teacher by profession and I love learning and teaching, so when someone is curious about stuff...

You'd think she's travelled at least a bit though, considering her Fereldan accent + presence in Orlais.

I thought Traynor was a pretty cool character in her own right. It's just her romance that I didn't care for.

I love Isabela. I don't think Sera will be like her at all though, other than being snarky they are very different.

Male gazey?  I don't see what is specifically male gazey about her tbh. All males don't like the same thing (and there are people who didn't find Isa to their tastes and that's okay).

I'd rather not go too much into it, not the right topic and idk if it is something that's controversial or not, but...her outfit, the focus on her sexuality to the exclusion of other things, the "wh*ore" brush the narrative paints her with without fully examining it, etc. I adore her, but there are some sketchy things there imo.

I'm pretty positive about it myself, the only fear I have (that niggly annoying doubt that I can't shake off) is the tragic lesbian romance trope. Other than that I reckon it will be very enjoyable.

I'm not much worried, Lukas seems like he knows his stuff and knows his Sera. Considering Aveline's hilarious quest, I will be a biiiit disappointed if there is no courting-related hilarity/mishap involved though. Just a bit.

Isabela sure got some painful bagage under her facade, but I tend to see Isabela primarily as a cool pirate (a bit incompetent without her ship) who choose not to dwell on it too much.

I'm not worried about Sera's romance at all. I don't get any promiscuous vibes from her or anything like that. Of course, the writers might have just thrown a bit of drama in there (which romance in DAO or DA2 didn't have drama?  ) but I think that it'll be pretty harmless.

 

And, like Tevinter Rose, I'm getting more hyped about her as time goes on.

Also with all her bravado and IDGAF attitude she's pretty scared by alot of things, got the feeling we'll be able to reassure her and comfort her as the game progresses. Would like that anyway.
