Sera's and Viv's banter was effin perfect this morning! Just came in here to let you all know that one of my parties will have those two in it.
Just wanna say...I want a romance with Sera that is multifaceted and realistic for a fantasy game. See how weird that is to type? Just as weird for them to try to nail that down but...I don't want her to be a stereotype because from where she stands and a part of who I am...representation matters. Lesbians aren't written well in media most of the time. They are either always created for the male gaze, which y'all should know I strongly despise by now, or with some stereotypical "issue" that paints them as tainted(and rarely acknowledges society's contribution to that).
The onus isn't on BioWare to create the narrative...but when you create a character like this, you assume direct control. (I just wanted to use those words and it fit...and look at you...still reading this sentence!)

As I noted a couple of pages back, I'm hoping for the best, but I'm also not holding my breath. This is one of those things I need to see for myself to know how I feel. Sera definitely has a lot of potential and so does her romance. What becomes of that potential remains to be seen (with all due respect to Luke).

I do not have the confidence that some of you do about the writing...we've been trolled before and I am approaching with caution. Lukas seems cool...but I am not familiar with his work. I respect any writer enough to wait and see...especially concerning a character I am all about and that's what I'm doing in true Kasumi fashion. (and I could say the same for Mary Kirby because idk her work either and I'll be watching Viv mad closely too)
And that's not shade. I'm an observer and I don't bandwagon. period.

It was Sheryl Chee who did Lels. I'm pretty certain.
I have a good feeling about Sera's character mostly due to me having enjoyed the characters Lukas has written in the past, Carver, Aveline, Joker (in ME1 & 2), Kaidan (in ME1 alongside Drew & Chris L'Etoile, quote me if that's wrong Luke), probably forgetting some on KOTOR as well. His work on A Paragon of a Kind with Hepler was great. The characters mentioned have seemingly common traits with each other, specifically being quite "down-to-the-earth" judging from their overall disposition and personality in comparison to the other characters in the respective games.
Sera seems like a completely different sort of character than any of the above mentioned which sounds intriguing.
