I understand your point.No stealing isn't a sign of being immature . Isabela did and countless others companions we had in the past . Starting with Imeon and then leliana .
But take Isabela..even with her 'I don't care about anything' she had some sort of maturity about her . And her dialogues talk even if it was sex centered most of the time as her teasing every boy in the group...she just gave me this vibe that she is mature .
There's always Josephine if you want someone more serious.

Yeah I had Zevran betray me to Taliesin (sp?) in my first DA:O playthrough because the approval wasn't high enough and Fenris turned on me when I sided with the mages in DA2 (friendship/rivalry not high enough). Hmm, come to think of it...both times I've been betrayed by male elves- note to self: watch out for Solas.

I too prefer Sera, but I really hope Bioware doesn't try to make her into pure comedic relief or some kind of perpetually sarcastic Mary Sue.

Prank are fun..but there is a time when one stop doing prank and act mature .
I'm sure she'll have her serious moments. We're going to get to know her better.

Leliana had a preference for women and she was written extremely well. In more recent games, Bioware's gotten worse at writing romances in general. I think it's unfair to say that they screw over gay couples.
There's supposed to be a reason why Vivienne isn't a romance. My guess would be that she's involved with someone.

Well they did . Swtor maybe an MMO..and maybe another branch of Bioware..but it is still use the Bioware Logo .
Then you have the Traynor romance in Mass effect . I dare ya to give me a link where peoples are raving about how Awesome that romance was .
So far all I saw is peoples complaining about the shower scene.....
