I know What you're Talking about. I don't understand What you mean with too few having trouble reconciling this with The story arc. do you mean people forget about The annulment part?
Meh on Anders. I don't hate him, but I wouldn't call him awesome. Merging with justice is too moronic for me to calm him awesome.

I'd definitely consider myself pro-mage in general but listen to yourself...You will forgive a terrorist for having good intentions but criticise a man who had just been tortured for days by abominations for not being in an entirely level-headed and charitable mood toward mages afterwards.

(I do like them but that's why I do. They had flaws that were like people I know irl.....and not on such an extreme scale like Anders or Fenris. They're relatable, sometimes unlikable, but always felt real...does that make sense?)

While I don't agree with his view, I do understand why he turned out this way.
And its one of The reason why I'm interested to see how his characters development goes in DAI, and how everything in DA2 (annulment included) affected and affects him.

I support keeping Anders alive if he is romanced, because there is perhaps chance of taking him somewhere where Justice can be removed.

If he isn't, though...all unromanced companions leave Hawke's side. How likely is it that an unattended Anders wouldn't repeat the same kind of acts?

Cullen's arc is pretty different if you play mages or templars. I'm guessing Xil hasn't done a pro-templar playthrough, which does show his moderate/sympathetic side more. It's hard to talk about him sometimes because of that :different people are going to see radically different Cullens.

But nothing derails a thread on the BSN faster than a conversation about Anders, M/T in general, Dalish vs City Elves, or Loghain. So since none of those (besides maybe Dalish/City Elves) are on topic, best to stay away from those. We've avoided the mod's disapproval for our OTness so far, and we've gotten really OT. I'd prefer the thread be able to stay that way, and I think we'll only get that if we don't have any big fights.
