of course we always have a friendly debate or make up afterwards anyway. We're all friends here
Aye. A bit of OT is fun as long as it doesn't get nasty.

Cullen's arc is pretty different if you play mages or templars. I'm guessing Xil hasn't done a pro-templar playthrough, which does show his moderate/sympathetic side more. It's hard to talk about him sometimes because of that :different people are going to see radically different Cullens.
All templar-related achievements in my copy of DA2 are ritually pure.
Ditto for the Paramour achievement in ME2.
ohhhhh yeaahhhh *bass starts playing*Unless it's the good kind of nasty.
Unless it's the good kind of nasty.
Oh God.

*sigh* OK, continue with your debauchery... I'll just silently slip into shadows and occasionally chime in where I'm not wanted.
Unless it's the good kind of nasty.
Then it's more than good!
Does anyone have a favorite romance quest? I made. Thread about that awhile back but I'm curious what this threads favorites are. Doesn't have to be a. Iowans game.
I enjoyed Morrigans from DA:O a lot. Possibly my favourite out of all of them. Then vying for 2nd is Leliana and Alistair. I think the romances in DA:2 were weaker than there counterparts in DA:O. Not saying they were bad, just not as good.

As in a personal quest or as in a whole romance sub-plot in a game?

Favorite Romances:
Carth (Apologies to those who genuinely like him, but I include this because it's HILARIOUS. I haven't laughed that hard in so long. What a disaster.)
Isabela (My pirate queeeeen)
Traynor (I guess I'm the rare one who adored her. The underwear scenes...yugh, but she's so nerdy, sweet, intelligent, personable, cocky but insecure...
)
Garrus
Oh can we include ME romances as well? Ok:
At the top of my list is Jack from ME2 + 3
Liked Tali a whole lot.
She's who initiated my fascination of the enviro-suited race of tech masters without a homeworld.
Liara's a given...
And well, Alistair's was pretty good. Funnily enough, while supposedly a SPEW member, I didn't really fall for Zevran. Ever. Romanced Merrill in the second, so that counts.
(Come on. You don't need to love Zevran if there's a perfectly good cousin of your City Elf Warden. Who, by the way, happens to be a female elf.)
Jack. *sighs dreamily* If only you were the bisexual you were meant to be.
I was so happy when I heard Freddie Prinze Jr say she no question was his auto ME2 romance in that interview the other day. She doesn't seem to get enough love.
(I love Miranda too. I can't play dude!Shep, but if I did...choosing between those two...how???)
OH MY GOD I FORGOT GORIM. What's happened to me.
Gorim/Aeducan OTP 4eva. Still not over it. Never gonna be over it.
(I love Miranda too. I can't play dude!Shep, but if I did...choosing between those two...how???)
That's almost an insult! Comparing us to..... them....
Ahem....

That also made me happy when he described her and still wanted her, didn't even care about Miranda. Jacks number one. Miranda is literally a sex object. All fun and games.

I still wish to this day that Miranda had been a romance for FemShep also, some of the art work I've seen is awesome
So if we're dong full romances...
Liara 100%. She's as close to my dream woman as I've seen in a video game. She's intelligent, initially seems a little naive and vulnerable but shows amazing resilience, determination and aptitude as the series progresses. Though I have nothing against Ash or Kaidan, they did nothing for me in ME1, so she's basically my only choice there. After the pain of her-stand-offish nature in ME2, Lair of the Shadow Broker redeemed her romance by being hands-down my favourite DLC in a Bioware game. Finally romancing her again in ME3 was excellent (at least right up to the ending.)
In the DA universe so far my favourite is the Morrigan romance. I enjoy how you slowly begin to find the human behind the snarky façade and it's great how in retrospect it's clear that she had been desperately trying not to get too close as she knew what was to come with the dark ritual.
I also have a massive soft spot for Bastila, as she was my first Bioware romance. I was emotionally torn when she turned to the dark side, and ecstatic to win her back to fight at my side. I came to that game as a Star Wars fan having never played a Bioware game before, and left with my idea of what storytelling in a game could be forever altered.

That... that was beautiful...
Just... beautiful...

Leliana will always be top waifu. :3
Besides her...hmm...Jaheira and Viconia. The latter's ending still makes me a bit sad to this day:
