So far I've only been lurking in this thread, but I want to step out of the shadows for a second just to say how in love I am with Sera so far, oh my dear lord. I can't wait to see more of her!

I had the same thought. I think that this:
“Doing something for the ‘greater good’ makes her angry, because she thinks that's shorthand for ‘let's hurt people who don't deserve it because it's easier.’"
is how she'll describe the Circle system; locking mages away and pretend they don't exist is just "easier". She'll probably oppose politically powerful mages like Vivienne but include the rank and file of mages into the group of the powerless she sees as being hurt by the actions of the faction leaders.
Meanwhile, I will still hold true by the notion that all mages must be isolated regardless of their level of magic or secular authority.
Let's not forget that as a city elf she's likely seen young mage children getting ripped away from their families, making the issue all the more personal for her.

You say that like it's a bad thing.
I thought you prefered Cass's old age

What do you mean 'as a city elf'? Does the Orlesian circle not take human babies away from their families or something?

God.
Her face.
It's making me cringe.
Okay, I (not so secretly now) agree with that. But at least she seems to have a nice personality?

I think it means 'as opposed to a Dalish elf'.

Ah, that makes more sense.
Carry on.

I somehow only just noticed that she carries a bow without a quiver. Here's another Sera pic from the news article about her reveal.
Conjured arrows then? I'm so in.

She probably goes the Legolas route and keeps them all shoved up her ass.

You know what else is odd. She's wearing a guard for her forearm to avoid bowstring scrapes, but then has a bloody great cuff on the sleeve for the bowstring to catch on!

Maybe we should start updating the OP with the new stuff we gained at E3 today?

Sera's voice + Sera in combat. I wish I saw the rest of the DA footage because I'm sure it was lovely, but I fainted after that part.

I'm really interested in the new archer gameplay, it looks liek it will be perfect for bosses like dragons which have lots of spots to hit, plus Sera made it look awesome.

This has made me more excited than anything, since I want to play a male Elven archer on my first playthrough. If his animations, attacks and evades are anything like what we've seen of Sera's I'll be having a hell of a fun time with him.
Sera now has high priority for my team though, so I'll likely use her as my melee rogue, along with Cassandra and one of the male mages.

I love archey but I always felt it was underwhelming in DAO/DA2 but holy crap. I'm extremely stocked for it in DAI, and Sera might replace Varric. What can I say, I have a thing for cute archers.

I really hope we get to hear her voice in the game tomorrow.
Since all we heard as I think some lines drowned out by the dragon fight.

Like what I'm seeing of the character so far, sounds like a person my first character will get along with. Though i do wish they would tone down the eye makeup a bit, the heavy black just seems out of place with the brown eyes and hair. All the archery stuff in the trailers looked pretty cool as well, really liked that backflip shot.

Plus, rogue.
Seb was a rogue, and he wouldn't even have sex before marriage.
