Or they could just do another trailer with the female, just like ME3 did. If they get bothered by doing 34545645 trailers with the same generic dude, then i don't see what's stopping them for doing just one with a female.

 

Because of EAs stereotypical marketing. They are like the Nazis of gaming ok... you have to fight through miles of s*** just to get somewhere with them.

 

I get what you're saying though but at the moment, all we have seen is the Inquisitor donning his armour. The only thing that they could possibly change is the shape of the body.

Yes, straight men should help too and voice the issue. I know some men in the Inquisitrix thread who are pretty vocal and they want to help btw but sadly from what i see some don't even care (which is sad). And I know it's not Bioware's problem, im not talking about them but about these people who think the marketing is only for straight men and market the stuff that way. In a game like Dragon age or Mass Effect, it just does not make sense to promote one gender where in fact there are 2 gender options.

Yeah, things are slowly changing. Fingers crossed that in 5 - 10 years no one will wonder that we girl gamers exist.

 

And I hope we'll finally get an AAA Assassin Creed game with a female protagonist.

Just googled her name, and that's actually who I was talking about. Seems interesting, but I'd probably only pick it up if they ever ended up selling it as a $15-20 standalone title. I haven't played any of the newer ACs in a while.

If enough people get it, and enjoy it enough to say to Ubisoft that they want it, then it'll happen. Game companies other than BioWare need to embrace the 21st Century gamer and not generalise everyone who buys there game as a man.

I know and like Mira said, it looked like a psp with slighty better graphics. The dlc in Black Flag with Aveline on the other hand, this one was good.

I saw recently that according to one market research organization at least, females outnumber males in the PC RPG sector. The article didn't show me the source for those figures though so I'm wary of jumping all over them as yet. In any case I've recently decided to become more vocal on the subject as I want them to know that you can't just lump all men together and that some of us at least actively embrace diversity.

It's too bad it's part of the Season Pass. They couldn't be bothered to incorporate it into the base game, which, combined with their lame excuses for not including a female protagonist in Unity, makes this seem like a desperate attempt of damage control.

 

Ubisoft has some of the worst PR in recent memory.

It's been ported to PS3 and 360, but yeah, it was originally a portable game.
