being in the counseling and psychological field I am going to tell you guys that trying to force someone into something they don't want to do, like trying to make them get along with someone they don't like is wrong and its also considered unethical. Trying to change someone's opinion is always an uphill battle and all your going to accomplish is driving that person away and doing more harm than good and you can make that person hate that person even more and also hurt your relationship with said person also. In most times its more wise just to let them think what they want.

With regard to Sera's character, they've said that she's coming to the Inquisition without having had her world view challenged ever. I suspect that she'll have a great character arc as she learns about new people and other ways of doing things, so long as you treat her right.

This! I really look forward to seeing how she changes as the story progresses. It's going to be quite an experience for her to hang out with people from so many different backgrounds.

If i'm scared of someone i tend to avoid them like the plague. Not bullying them...

Also nobody forces anything, but i'm going to use Cole sometime to see what Sera has to say about him.

 

 

With this logic, Aveline and Isabela were in a forced relationship too? They'll probably get to know each other in Skyhold anyway without Quizzy's influence.

 

 

I personally don't think Sera will hate on Cole forever, Cole wants to save people and Sera too so if she sees his actions, she may go soft on him. She's just ignorant of all this spirit/magic thing.

I get over my fear or see if there is a logic reason to be afraid . And time will only tell if I warm up enough to consider a friendship or not . You can't be friend with everyone , there will always be someone whose belief will clash with yours . 

 

As for Aveline and bela.....I don't think their friendship was forced . It was normal . One didnt care for rules and Laws , and the other did . Yet they LEARNED about each others....and thats why they become friends . 

 

So maybe Sera once she know cole , she be friend with him . But I never approve of a 'get over your fear ! look he has a the puppy eyes...Luvvv him without knowing him cose he is super cute' .

We love Sera, but we don't have to wax apologetics for her if she's a jerk to Cole. She may have very good reasons to fear him, but that doesn't mean we have to say "yeah that's cool keep doing it". All characters have flaws and blind spots...the best thing is to accept them for who they are instead of pretending they are perfectly reasonable in all things. Personally I hope she learns to respect him, but if she doesn't, I will accept that as her blind spot and disapprove of that while still loving her. Flawed people are the best because they are people, not ideals.

As I said I won't be using Cole, only time he will be in the party is if he has to be like part of the story or his companion quest etc, not sure I trust or like him much myself so yeah he will be left at Skyhold

Okay enough, if you want to talk about Cole and his problems take them to the Cole thread, this thread is known for its laid back and fun atmosphere so enough about the Sera/Cole issue, we can bounce off the wall for 10 minutes and it wouldn't change the fact that its in the game so enough back to being perverted and silly.

This should be a place where we can disagree respectfully, not ignore things we don't agree on (that pertain to Sera at least) because its uncomfortable, IMO. We're all awesome here, we don't have to avoid discussions all the time! And once the game comes out, things will get much much worse, so better we have practice here dealing with confrontation already!
