Someone's going to be very pleased with the growing list of elf players. :)

I really like how lady elves look this time around, but I'm still set on human for my first playthrough. I thought I would make a human and romance Josephine, then an Elf to romance Sera but I'm starting to wonder if I'd rather not reverse that.

Trevelyan/Josephine has two people from wealthy backgrounds with several siblings (unless playing a mage), so lots of common ground. Trevelyan being the youngest and Josephine the eldest of their respective families also makes for interesting conversation options.

Lavellan/Sera has a possible country VS city dynamic that could be fun. Sera is also a trouble maker while Lavellan would be more about keeping trouble away from her people. Interesting contrasts to be had.

Trevelyan/Sera could be interesting because of the noble VS commoner possible conflict. I expect sparks to fly with this combo.

Lavellan/Josephine... I'm not sure. What would attract a Dalish hunter/Keeper's First to a human diplomat? Need more info... Josie would be a lady of mystery to Lavellan maybe?

The freedom from politics.

Who? I want to prepare for the possibility of insanity.

Crimson is a huge promoter of SPEW. I was convinced when I saw the dark haired green eyed elf, I usually start playing human warrior first but I converted to the SPEW.

Actually, I think the reverse would happen. Josephine is all about politics.

A keeper's first would likely be an intelligent and inquisitive person, and her original mission was that of a spy. What better way to get to know about the peoples of Thedas than through a diplomat? Maybe a strategic friendship turns into something more...

True. But I think it'll be more like "what could my life have been if I wasn't in this position". The politics of Thedas look blood sucking.

Ooh! I like that! Although I have yet to enjoy playing a mage in a DA game...

I watched the video earlier and the 'twang' from the bow is so satisfying. The sound effects in this game are really nice. I love playing an archer rogue. (sniper in modern games :D)

I was thinking the same thing. Fetch quests tend to side track far too much.

But I guess we're supposed to explore a lot so...

Politics in real life are blood sucking. Anyway.

Still juggling: Treve/Josie or Trev/Sera?

Mmh...

It would be a lot easier if the game was here already. As far as I'm concerned all the ladies are sexy and choosing one of them is excruciating!

Ooooh, eye color choices in this game actually make it so I can make my eyes. I have central heterochromia, so my inner iris is gold and my outer iris is blue.

Careful... you don't want to p*** yourself and lose them.

I'm interested to hear what you guys think of the addition of fetch quests. According to recent previews, the game has tons of them, and many are irrelevant to the main story, much like ME3 was (on the Citadel, at least).

So yay or nay? Or is it not something you care for either way?

I'll live, I'm sure. As long as they can be done at the same time as more important quests.

I'm torn between Adaar or SPEW...

Also shouldn't it be SREW, the Society of Romancing Elven Women?

Personally I love playing as mages and back-stabby rogues. Archers in Origins were a bit rubbish so I got put off, but they did improve in DA2.  It's Warriors that do nothing for me. Tanking is dull and two-handers... Meh. I don't want to be Conan the Barbarian.

Yeah. I often try to time the finishing of a fetch quest with a trip to the necessary area for some other reason.

I figured to go elf since I'll enjoy the jumping feature... nothing like frolicking while exploring

I hope Sera knows how to frolic XD (knowing her... she'll probably kill someone in the process)

So many awesome possibilities for this game just with Sera and Josie, all of your list seems really interesting to me. It's going to be a lot of fun. :)

I'm definitely going to use my second play through as human for Josie, third will be Adaar with Sera as I've got to see this combination. Fourth or fifth will be human with Sera because it seems like an interesting combination with Sera's dislike for nobles. If I really enjoy the Josie romance I'm going to have some issues since I want to see how Sera reacts to all the races. I will probably go Josie on the fouth but I haven't decided the race yet but am leaning towards elf. I guess it will probably take me six or seven games to get through all the races with Sera.
