DA is a party-based game. As long as you have muscle in your party, why does it need to be you? I don't buy that you need to be a warrior for it to make sense. Not at all. Brains behind the brawn, that's me.
That's not what I meant. I don't feel BioWare games offer you a way to be roguey and magey while leading, and I also feel the being a leader plot tends to overwrite being a rogue or a mage as well. I really don't like the idea of warriors being just brawn either. But it is a minor complaint.
Still lighter than the Geth spitfire
Ammunition lasts longer though. Maybe.

I don't want to play as Hawke though. I'd have been happy with Hawke just not appearing in the game, same as the Warden. Why does Hawke have to come back...?

I don't know. I'm not a Bioware writer. I'll be happy as long as it makes sense in the story.

You can just switch to another companion and play. I played as Morrigan for the majority of DAO.
