I really hope that what he says is true and that he's not exaggerating 'cause some of the areas we've seen so far seemed kind of small, or at least not thaaat big. 
But maybe that's just because they explored a very tiny part of the areas, dunno. *shrug* In any case, fingers crossed!

I don't want to play as Hawke though. I'd have been happy with Hawke just not appearing in the game, same as the Warden. Why does Hawke have to come back...?
Because they took a large chunk of the cancelled DA 2 Exalted March expansion and put it in DAI

So instead of Hawke, just use the Inquisitor. Why does Hawke even have to be apart of this game? Why can't Hawke stay gone along with the Warden. No sense in bringing him/her back.

Just to clarify. I don't HATE Hawke. I just think that Hawkes story was done, the same way the Wardens story was done. Now it's time for the Inquisitor and they want to cut a chunk out for a character they have finished.
Edit: And I don't want to start an argument. Those go very bad. I would not back down.

I'm probably in minority, but I will be really disappointed if at some point of the game I will be forced to play as Hawke. I want my inquisitor to be the heroine of the story for a whole game and not just a part of it.
