I actually hated playing mage hawke cause that meant Carver lives >.> I prefered Bethany... Carver is truly a asshat

im the reverse bethany is too dour and is a bit of a wet blanket imo. Still love both the twins wish i could have had them both such potential

I liked Carver more than Bethany. Carver felt like the much more 'real' sibling of the bunch with a much more interesting dynamic with Hawke...while Bethany was just kinda bland, IMO. 

 

I actually think he's one of my favourite characters in DA2, just because I enjoyed all of the various way his relationship with his sibling could turn out.

Carver did feel very real, I don't have younger siblings or brothers though so I'm not used to that dynamic.

Lulz, it does look like more fun in DAI, combat seems to have improved. I've always been more fond of attacking with a weapon than magic myself, never been one for playing a wizard. Thinking of either making a human circle mage for Sera or a qunari mage, further down the road of course.

What do ya think about Knight Enchanter? You get a cool Raziel-esque magic blade on your hand.

Honest question, what's with artists giving Sera a darker skin tone in their pictures than she actually has? It isn't just this picture, I've seen quite a few pictures posted in this thread that give Sera a much darker skin tone when she seems pale in all the game shots we've seen.

I loved him. Although you don't get to see his best side unless you do Friendship + Grey Wardens

 

I actually liked rivalry + Templar, maybe just because I'm a suck for juicy drama. The scene where he steps in front of Meredith at the end of the game despite you never seeing eye to eye with him on anything was all the feels. 

 

Grey Warden path was great too, though. It was good to finally see him feeling like he belonged somewhere.

Her original concept art was darker, which led a lot of people on tumblr to believe she was whitewashed. I'm not getting into that, but that's probably an accurate answer for some of them.

its a fair-ish reaction but things change... im just somewhat grateful FB3 is difficult to mod i still remember those photoshopped images of dorian and viv

I honestly don't know much about the mage specs in this game, haven't looked into em as I usually avoid playing as them in general. Going against my usual comfy trend of playing a rogue first, choosing a warrior instead.

Just did a quick look, and I'm guessing people saw the insanely early, leaked Sera picture from the survey that came out before the game was even announced? That also lead me to a picture that I had completely forgot about on DeviantArt on the topic, I also remember seeing that here a few times and can't believe II forgot about it.
