I don't think a mod to make Sera look more like her earlier concept art would be bad at all.

probably not but there are x amount of people who take offence the skin changing. Its slippery slope. One person's entertainment enchancement is somebody's soapbox. Its the internet

I love mods. Um, whitewashing mods notwithstanding...those are super suuuper gross. But since I "grew up" on Elder Scrolls, having the ability to alter the game and see what cool stuff the community comes up with has always felt right to me. I also like making mods, because I'm a nerd and I like scripting.

 

DA:I seems like, given it's open world nature, a game that wold be super cool to make mods for or use them. I'm sad it won't happen, but so it goes.

Whitewashing is a problem, but in this case it is making Sera darker and at least one of her concept arts was like that anyway.

I think Wynne was like that, actually. Darker in her concept art.

Zevran on the other hand was pretty pale in his.

The Elder Scrolls series was practically made for modding, though. Not to say that worthwhile mods can't exist outside of that series, but it's certainly the best example of the positive of modding.... if you wade through all of the negative ones.

 

I don't see what's wrong with modding in general. If some shallow twit wants to whitewash Isabela, let them. Doesn't affect me any. A damaging viewpoint can't possibly be perpetuated enough by mods that it really becomes an issue. Though, it is horribly sad to behold.

they also can take hidden or broken dialogue and add them back in. imagine kotor 2 without mod, just terrible.

Ugh yes, how could I forget. I remember the dark days before I found the Annoyance Remover mod...and I had to make Leliana turn off all her sustained abilities in tactics just because the pink stars annoyed me so much. :S

 

Faster Combat is also one I probably couldn't play without. The moderately faster version makes combat not move at a snail's pace while still not being DA2 level.

Just did a quick look, and I'm guessing people saw the insanely early, leaked Sera picture from the survey that came out before the game was even announced? That also lead me to a picture that I had completely forgot about on DeviantArt on the topic, I also remember seeing that here a few times and can't believe II forgot about it.
