I hope they have someone else doing the voiceovers in these trailers because the monotone nature of the others leaves something to desire.

 

It sounds like she's narrating a workplace safety video lol. It's too monotone.

They could still make a video about her character, or just interview writers, designers, whoever is in the office, spit bucket guy...

I almost exploded in laughter in the middle of an english lesson.

Viv has already had her VA vid so I doubt this is another one (though I guess it's possible).

 

I think it might have something to do with the teaser we got last weekend. I had a feeling there was something behind her smirk.

From the perspective of making the trailer it is easier.

 

If you aren't taking a scene out of the game, then it still takes work to animate it, so having it out of game means marketing's accountants can hire another team familiar with their own systems to make a trailer without interfering with the developers. It also means you can have things like breaking glass even if they aren't in-game.

My guess is only if everyone gets one, otherwise it will be Viv, Varric and Cas, plus maybe Inquisitor. (edit) Except they showed Bull, so I guess he's in.

Yeah I get that, but at what point do we say that in-game is good enough? I don't see the huge advantage to this CGI. Seems like a waste of money.

 

I'm slightly worried that Sera won't get one... Looks like Varric, Iron Bull and the Inquisitor definitely will.

Yeah, that was my first thought when I saw the "Inquisitor" video blurb. :/ Can't imagine they're going to do any variety of Quizzies if it's a CGI trailer when they don't even do it in the in-game engine. 

 

I'll look forward to seeing IB/Varric's though, and hopefully all of them get one.

Yeah I guess that makes sense from a developer-time perspective... Hadn't thought of it in that way. Still I'm not sure it's worth the effort, but it's EA's money...

Edit: The Inquisitor one leads to the "Hero of Thedas" trailer, so maybe no CGI for him/her.

I was referring to the teaser we got last weekend. Since the Viv video uses footage from that teaser, my guess is we will only see vids for characters that appeared in said teaser.

 

I hope I'm wrong, though. Needs moar Sera.

Somehow, I doubt they're going to do a CGI video for each companion. I'd certainly like to be proven wrong, though.
