I got the Dour Lord in the new market day, and his counselor stats look somewhat appealing....also interesting in dat dwarf, but ugh. So much authority. Also I finally got some love from the Dowager when I killed a wyvern for her. I like how the game is expanding, haha. But for now, those four work for me.

If you have two Authority you can summon him from one of the pinned cards.

If your'e trying to get the Purveyor, that's definitely a bad move.

 

Also I think using Authority in general to summon people seems like a bad idea since at least so far, it's a harder to find resource and you can wait for cards.

 

You can only have 5 Authority at a time though (at least for now), which is good to know for those who might try to hoard it and then find themselves missing out on getting some because they already have 5....not that I learned this from personal experience or anything.

These guys just raise my stats and have little to no downside. It's the ultimate team. I don't know whether I want to swap my Councellor for The Dour Lord. I'm happy with what I got and I don't particularly need +10 Rulership and Cunning.

You can easily make it back with the Hunter as your Bodyguard though, his "special" action that usually requires a favor(and doesn't if he's your Bodyguard) can give you Authority.

Trying to get the lady from Tevinter to be my accomplice, and probably the Bard as my lover.

On an unrelated note, damn. I lost two squaddies in X-COM just now. Shouldn't have brought them to that damn UFO crash site. May they rest in peace, died trying to save my Colonel Heavy who's a Psi...
