Well, I bought Assassin's Creed: Unity to kill time while waiting for this game. Went to my gamestops "midnight" release and realized that they held it at 10pm. I finalized my transaction at 6pm and no one there thought to mention that they do their early releases at 10pm now. Got there around 11:20pm, waited until 11:55 and started thinking it was odd that on such a big release day I'm the only person in the parking lot. Knocked on the door and the last employee to leave said "Sorry, we have early releases at 10pm"

Oh, well. Pisses me off that none of the employees thought to mention that when I came in earlier to pay for the game and get my receipt finalized. Now I'm back to being board and scrounging the forums/ internet for Inquisition news and pics. *sigh

Is it any good? I kinda gave up on the series part way through AC4.

AC4 was good. It was a lot better than AC3. I mean, it had pirate ships dammit! Pirate ships!

I have Tomb Raider on the way! It should get here on Thursday. I've wanted to play it since it came out last year so it should be a great time filler until DA:I.

The only thing I didn't like about that game was the ending. It felt completely off track. It wasn't a bad ending, but it did feel like they blew realism out of the door. Still play it though, it is a brilliant game.

I am playing Spec Ops: The Line.....so when DA:I comes out, I will be ready for some cheeky Sera humor, lmao. Jesus this game is dark. I mean I expected it to be, based on the post I read that made me want to check it out, but still. They weren't lying.

It was although that isn't saying much.

I was losing interest in the series after Revelations and AC3 didn't help.
Still, with Inquisition some time away I may have to try it again.

I'm really enjoying it, insofar as the experience of it can be called "enjoyment" I loooove the attention to detail, it's just a...beautiful game. Like, horribly beautiful. 

 

If you haven't seen this and you dig game analysis, Critical Distance has this cool compilation of a lot of essays on the game, which is what got me interested. I haven't read any, just sort of skimmed the beginning and went "hrm, sounds interesting....better check it out." Looking forward to reading it when I'm done!

I'm trying to finish Dark Souls but keep rage quitting. This game is f****** evil.

Other than that, our earlier discussion prompted me to fire up F:NV again.

 

I'm working on Dark Souls too, lol, it's my first playthrough. How far in are you?   I'm at New Londo. 

 

I'm mostly playing Morrowind to pass the time. It was either gonna be that or Skyrim but I've played Skyrim so much already and Morrowind is completely new to me.   Modded the heck out of it too.

It's definitely one of those games that you have to try for yourself. Reviews just don't do it justice.
