Having scene the image, I'll second that your probably think its worst than it actually is. It also seems like an optional event base on your choices so I think plenty of people won't even know about this even after beating the game.

Having scene the image, I'll second that your probably think its worst than it actually is. It also seems like an optional event base on your choices so I think plenty of people won't even know about this even after beating the game.

I was imagining something horrible but different, as in a Leli that had been through conventional torture,  which is I think why it shocked me as much as it did.

Wow, I forgot how frustrating Skyrim can be, I'm still trying to find my way to fort dawnguard. I was right there and it wouldn't let me go any further up the road. Now I'm at some damn cave. I hate caves, I always get Lydia killed in caves.

I remember having trouble getting to the fort as well. IIRC, you have to walk by the mountains southeast of Riften and look for a narrow opening of sorts that leads into the Dawnguard camp. It's not readily visible, but it's there. From there you should be able to find the fort easily.

 

This is assuming it's your first time playing Dawnguard, of course.
