google doesn't compensate for what you're taught growing up. my grandmother taught me but I tried to learn French on my own again. what I learned is my granny's french is nothing like anywhere but Louisiana. still learning. and no one will tell me my granny was wrong.

I think Unity's a very flawed, very unoptimized, very buggy step in the proper direction. Yes, it's a mess, but I think that with a lot of refinement, there's definitely something of value tucked away under the lag issues and bugs. As for Inquisition, every hour's feeling like a day for me. So long. ;=;

Of course your granny wasn't wrong! She spoke the French that people around her spoke. Language isn't about right or wrong. It's about communication. I can communicate well with a French person, but I'd struggle in Louisiana, or even in Quebec...

Yeah, one of the reasons this bothers me is because of the nerd rage thats directed at her in these gross gendered ways....it feels like a lot of people are going to feel "satisfied" that the pretty girl they couldn't kill finally gets her comeuppance, or whatever gross thing. I mean I know can't control other people's reactions and thus I should ignore it, but it will still gross me out.
