Well it is rather disappointing as based on who we've seen Cassandra and Vivienne and Sera, I liked Sera the best, but it is no deal breaker.

But...men have those too.
The implication is that most men don't know how to use them.

So Isabela is a sexist.
Hmm, possibly giving her to the Arishok sounds more and more pleasing every time you learn something about her.

Please tell me that you are kidding....
I thought the wording was over-the-top enough to make it obvious that I was kidding. I really tried to pull some of the arguments here to the extreme.
All in all, I just want a good story and believable and entertaining characters. Sera being lesbian doesn't break immersion to me (Even though Anders being gay, moody, unfun and whiny did, after having him known in Awakenings).
I am roleplayer enough that I have no personal problem trying out different roles, and seeing how the story unfolds with them, rather than always playing the one closest to my own conviction and real life preference.

Ah, excellent. Sorry for asking, but occasionally we get some real nutballs on the forums that have said more or less what you just did. Only they were serious. ![]()
So Isabela is a sexist.
Or most of her male lovers haven't been very good in bed. Maybe Zevran is one of the few and that's why she's okay with a threesome with him?

Same. Well, i also thought that she might end up bi as well but.... that fisting image of hers? C'mon, so obvious.
IT'S ALL SO CLEAR NOW!

This counters my point how? She is still judging an entire gender based on her experiences. Granted, she has a much larger sample size than most but still... ![]()

I honestly don't see the big deal if you intend to roll a female Inquisitor at some point anyway. You still have the option to try her romance if you really want to.

So Isabela is a sexist.
Wait...you spend most of your time in company of people who despise others because they have magic, they want to be free, they want to be lead and controlled, they come from the wrong country, the wrong social class, the wrong race...and now the person who is about the most open, tolerant companion in the whole game makes one rather harmless remark that, even though she has a lot of fun with a lot of men, she thinks women are better for some things, and you call her a somethingist?
Wow. Just wow.

Doesn't that lead to the conclusion that straight men who enjoy certain sexual activities with women but won't try the exact same thing with men are all sexist?

Wait, why is she sexist?
Oh I see, na I don't think that makes her sexist.
Either way, I'm excited that Sera doesn't seem to have that overused promiscuous trope.

This is also the woman who thought her life was worth more than a city's worth of people.
But this thread is about Sera, so I'll stop.

Before the game was pushed back for a year, David Gaider mentioned not liking NPC romance, but Cullen is now a confirmed romance, so the NPC romances were added, but I'm sure the core romance with the companions would still remain the same like Sera and Cassandra. While I'm glad NPC romance was added to compensate for the set sexuality, it may also mean that the companion romance's "playersexuality" was changed because of it. Unless there is another set of male or female among the companions, we're basically exchange the playersexuality for companion romance for a pair of NPC romance. IMO, I have to see how they handle it to see if it's worth the trade-off.
I know definitively that Cullen was not added because people were asking for him to be a romance. There are people, internally, that like the character too and wanted to do more with them as well you know.

Start thinking of it as a constraint satisfaction problem instead.

Then there is those of us DA forumites that could care less if we could romance him, but were just curious about his character. I know I was very curious after the end of DA2.

I dearly hope the "I want to SNORT YOU" scene is included in Cullen romance, just like Mr.Gaider has envisioned it.I know definitively that Cullen was not added because people were asking for him to be a romance. I don't think they'd include a character unless they found something fun themselves to do with him. If given a choice, a writer doesn't write things when there's no direction to take them. That would be boring for them and us as well. And I think Cullen is one of those that does have interesting possibilities where he has headed up by this point.
