So I played the ea early access trial yesterday and the game is amazing, from the story, scenery, music, etc. It was great interacting with the different companions and advisors as well. I couldn't take a screenshot so I just took a pic of my elven Inquisitor with my phone. She's a mage and her name's Onyx:

Every female elf I see in screenshots have that hair type. Are there other options? plz?

There are, people just like that one though. I can't blame 'em, there aren't a lot of really good options. I'll be choosing that one when I make an elf as well.

Yup. They get the same options as humans iirc. Here's an elf that doesn't use that hair:

I didn't make it to any major cities, but the camps were full of npcs doing things, conversing etc

She's lovely! I've a feeling that our inquisitors are going to look like sisters!

Josie & Cullen are advisers that cannot be kicked, afaik, so that puts them in a different class of romances. It is cool that one of them is bisexual.
 
But out of the companion LI, if we end up with: Sera, Dorian & IB being easily dismissable, but Blackwall, Cass, and Solas being essential/ANGST to get rid of them...that will be the exact same pattern in Origins that was upsetting. 
 
Basically in terms of LI, I think the only ones who might bring something new to the table in terms of that "queer optionality shoved to the side" thing are Josie and possibly Dorian. And to be honest, it would bother me if it was just Josie. I really hope Dorian is a Big Deal. 
 
This is all pretty cynical and I don't mean to be too harsh....I'm just tired of certain things, and I'd rather go in assuming that's how its going to be, than get my hopes up and have them dashed.

I think the main thing I'm worried about concerning Josie is that different dialogue for different Inquisitors mean people can 'headcanon' her sexuality one way or the other. For me, that was big, big, BIG problem with the way bisexuality was handled in DA2, and I've seen it on both sides plenty of times. I'll be more happy if Josie is the only LGBT character that can't be pushed aside if her sexuality is made as clear as Sera's or Dorian's.

But, I think most companions other than Solas, Varric and Cass will be easily dismissible to be honest. I haven't seen many Dorian spoilers yet and even less for Blackwall, however, so I can't really say for suresies. Both Blackwall and Dorian seem like big deals for their respective plots though so I'm thinking they might be at least temporarily essential, and if Dorian and Felix were an item, people would probably have to play through at least some GAAAAAAY.

As I understand it the Elves share the same hairstyles as Humans and Dwarves. You can see them all in this video:

I've seen Val Royeaux in a stream. It has enough NPC in it chatting away to make it feel lively but that entirely subjective. Don't expect it to be huge because obviously this games focus is one the large open area exploration locations.

That first pic reminds me of Daenerys as portrayed by Emilia Clarke. Think it's the hair color + eyes & eyebrows.

Freckles are under skin complexion, if I remember correctly. No moles however.

Are there preset faces in the CC or do they come up random, the face you started with seems to be the one I need to recreate the elf that Mike made along time ago.

There are like 5 randomized presets per race. The preset I picked is blonde & fair skinned, with blue green vallaslin and dark blue green lipstick.

Thanks, jello!. And yes, JerZey, it's only little. Bigger than I remember, but still a tad on the small size. Now the only thing worrying me is ear clipping, but I'm confident I can make it work. My Emma Caulfield Elfquisitor's gotta be perfect!
