non spoilery question about solas: basically is he amazing i want him to be amazing he seems to be so amazing
One of the reviewers compared him to Spock. Pretty spot on, hes very logical and controlled in his emotions.

Is it at least good music?
Nope. No it is not.
"shut da **** up" is a good msg lol
Needed more spice. I'd only get one opportunity to do it and I can't waste it on "shut up". It needs to send a very clear message that I will petrol bomb their house. (without actually saying that of course - I'd go to prison for death threats if I got caught)

I'm really mad at Solas for being race gated but I'm also pretty happy tbh because I want to romance Sera first and I feel like if I was playing elf, I'd be torn between the two.

xil is a passionate pro-mage-elf supporter that has a very... passionate veiw on x themes/characters and relates them to x social issue.. her concerns are valid but can off a bit strongIs this Xilizhra person trying to claim Sera's "the dumbest companion" because she doesn't care that much about social issues? Really?

Will these characters be available to us at the start of the game or whenever we want them to be?
What I mean is, can I just go where Sera will be located at any point and recruit her whenever I want? In Mass Effect you could not recruit some people such as Thane Krios or Legion until later in the game. Will Sera be available to recruit early on?
Is it at least good music?
The music is amazing I'll post this again:
No spoilers, just some sweet combat music.
You have to progess the story a bit so you can unlock the different areas to recruit all the companions. You'll be able to have all the companions by the time you unlock skyhold.

I though she was a very pro-dalish player. LoL, don't mess with the elves or else.

He's extremely knowledgeable and he has some groundbreaking theories about the fade/demons. He's also less awkward than I expected, very confident and with a sense of humor. So he's basically amazing imo.

Honestly, in her life, would being a measured, see-all-perspectives thinker really be an asset? Sera's probably effective because she doesn't feel the need to fill in all the spaces and explain/understand everything. I mean, I love Solas conceptually, but he would also probably be a super crappy revolutionary/robin hood.
Different roles require different kinds of intelligence, and Sera seems perfect for the one she's in.

That's pretty cool, opposite that I'd like to ask, will you have to encounter all companions before getting Skyhold or is the progression more open?

Some of the dialogue we heard so far shows some pretty keen insight too.
Spoiler
True.
I suppose it's just easy to go too far into worrying about things when the game is so close, and I'm racked with a wholly unprecedented romance dilemma.

I'm assuming your joking because...........how could you not love the music. It rocks. Best of the series by far.

I'm 100% convinced you'll end up with Josephine.
If I was into betting...
The odds might be something like:
Josephine 3:1
Sera 10:1

No, you can skip recruiting most of them. Some are part of the story progression though, just like in origins.

Oh, good! I know some people were thinking of him as an awkward bumbling nerd, and I had a more detached arrogance in mind so....sounds like more in between those two things. I need this game sigh. TWO MORE (full) DAYS. and i'm finally done pre-loading at least.

Possible, but she has a pretty limited experience of the world as a whole. She only ever saw it from the streets. She's going to meet a bunch of people from different backgrounds and motivations. That should expand her perspective.

There's no better place for rigid convictions than in a world full of shades of gray. They drive my passion, they resonate with those I love or hate, they serve as beacons to slice through all the foggy morass. It's the contrast that blazes in glory.

I get the impression that Sera is a lot smarter than what could be implied...well not implied. ..that's the preconceived notion for someone like her. She's not Robin Hood but she's been in her line of work for some amount of time...and she's not dead. I hear that's important for a rogue. And though she is reactionary, there has to be some modicum of planning in the execution of any action in the name of the Friends of Red Jenny. That requires a brain. I would expect no less from her in regard to the Inquisition.
I get the sense that while she might not be the one to discuss various works of literature with, I would enjoy every conversation with her because it seems she speaks very matter-of-factly. I can appreciate her from that aspect alone.
And uh...dem lips.

I get it, because the mages/elves are very clearly oppressed groups, and if you spend enough time on these forums you can see how someone might, even if they didn't have such a rigid view to begin, develop one in reaction to the errr...dialogue here.
